clean pool, room personal presentation, friendly, top resort. Language,poor in english, especial i the reception,pool service and atendants lack of left , special whith the umbrela(to old and hard)to put it up,atention with the guest u have to wait , lon to get atention to servev a drink or meals,the meals, breakfast exelent,diner atention good meals poor in flavor ,special sea food, no taste at all;and internet to expencive, Well. The merlin, is wanderfull resort,every thing is in place,staf very friendly and profesional.spa,clean and exelent service,me and my family anjoy avery minuts of our stay, (9 days.)Sometime we have problem with comunication.i will sugested to have a original english maneger or superviser in charge,thas was the only thing we find negative, we will use this resort again,
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : the tours were very interesting and good.

Food is a little expensive and when you experience the quality of some of the food in the restaurants at Patong, you wouldnt waste your money on the hotel's food.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Excellent location. Distance - Not too far and not to close to Patong or any of the other beaches i.e. Kata, Karon.
Best massage place on the beach (left hand side of the Resort's beach - up the stairs). Also, directly above that and up the steps - there is a small Restaurant - BEST FOOD and again the staff are AMAZING!
The massage place also offers Laundry services for only 70 Baht! Next day pick up!
Shopping Tip : If you would like the best suits in town go to:
154 Thaweewong Rd (near TMB Bank) Patong Beach - Phuket - (it's the road along the beach, just after Bangla Rd) opposite Macca's next to 7 Evelen.

They are the BEST (we got all our wedding suits from there for the bridal party and we only had the boys' measurements!)

The pools where very nice.
The staff was friendly and nice.
The rooms where clean, good sized and overall nice. The food wasn't good at all.
The beach itself had a ton of coral rock in the water line which is why no one swims in the ocean because it very painful.
There was a lot of children running around the whole resort.
The location to Patong Beach was about a ten minute ride. The pools where very nice. The staff was friendly and nice. The rooms where clean, good sized and overall nice.

Luxurious, spacious, 3 huge pools, very clean and modern, everything you could want or need is there. Far from town, rocky beach no good for swimming, with a family friendly atmosphere it lacks an intimate romantic feel. Rimping Village is a sprawling hotel complex nestled between two rocky bluffs. Modern, spacious, immaculate, and impressive by any measure. Cradled in the valley is the hotel, grounds, and beach area. Sadly, although the view is lovely, the beach is very rocky and not suited for swimming. Families will love the numerous other children running around. Singles and couples may feel that it's a bit like summer camp. Jumping a ride to town will set you back at least $8 and it's too far to walk. On the other hand, with all the Merlin has to offer, why even leave?
Hotel Feature Tip : Skip the 200-300 Bhat taxi ride to town and rent a motor scooter at the front desk. It's 400 bhat for 24hrs, or get one at Patong Beach down the road for 300. It's a blast, easy to ride, and won't cost more than the $3 in gas for the day.

Nice pool. Kids can enjoy the pool. Spa is good. Room is not clean. Bed is really bad. Transportation to Patong is bad. Hotel taxi costs 300 baths. Free shuttle does not run frequently. My husband and I love Thailand and have traveled in Thailand so many times, and it was my first time that I got disappointed by a hotel in Thailand. Staff is unfriendly and the food is too expensive. The service of this hotel is not worth for the money. The service that we got is about a 2-3 star hotel. However my 4-year old son enjoyed so much in the pool. There are nice pools in this resort. Also I liked the Spa.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You can take a long tail boat from the hotel beach to go to freedom beach in about 5 min. Freedom beach is much nicer than the hotel beach. It costs 700 bahts though.

ホテルのレストランの食事もおいしく、値段もさほど高くない、また、夜の雰囲気も大変良い。プールバーは、火曜日の４時～６時は半額サービスなどもあった。３つのプールは大きく飽きることがない。浴室のシャーワーの水圧も十分である。 ホテルの施設面は、大変よいが、ホテルの従業員に英語が通じない人が多い。また、滞在中にスタッフから挨拶されることはなかったことが残念。こちらから挨拶しても返ってこないこともあった。さらに、フロントのスタッフも対応時に笑顔もない。ただ、日本人スタッフはよかった。ホテルの前には、コンビニやお店は全くないが、近辺は大変静かである。バトンビーチ、プーケットタウンまで無料のシャトルバスがでているが、プーケットタウンの帰りのシャトルバスがないことが難点、また、本数も少ない。 ３つの大きなプールがあり、そのうち二つのプールはトンネルでつながっている。４日間の滞在であったが、子ども達は満足していた。また、プライベイトビーチもあり、とても静かである。また、海の透明度もバトンビーチよりはるかによい。ホテル、プール、ビーチと移動距離が少ない。プライベートビーチには、マッサージ１時間ＢＨ２５０で、また、洗濯物も１ＫＧ、７０ＢＨで１日でやってくれるので長期滞在も可能である。

Location,pools,good restaurants. nothing to do after 11pm. Location of the resort is great,very quiet.Beautiful swimming pools and the private beach is also very nice.From the first minute we got there we were surrounded by friendliest staff you can imagine.
We had dinner in every restaurant at the resort and food was great.My top pick has to be Tri Trang seafood restaurant,beautiful food.also great burgers at Zeabar.
Resort was advertised as recommended for honeymooners but it's more for families .We enjoyed our stay there on our honeymoon but would prefer less kids.Tri Trang restaurant is one beautiful place for a romantic dinner but was ruined by children songs sang on stage by a clown and heaps of kids.
Beautiful place and i will try to visit it again
Restaurant Tip : Open lasagna at tri trang seafood restaurant is very nice

Nice hotel in a good location although the sea is largely inaccessible from the beach due to coral. Noise pollution from the street, TV's in adjacent rooms and generators etc was an issue where our room was located. Plenty of eating opportunites within the complex which were all very nice. Good clean rooms and definitely value for money.

Larger amounts of tea and coffee.
More effective air conditioning. From start to finish, the service was excellent although some of the staff were difficult to understand. The room was breathtaking with a wonderful view of the pools. Happy hour was obviously appreciated by everybody! The choice of food that was available was perfect in each location and we tried them all. We will most certainly come back.
Hotel Feature Tip : Use the beach massages - they are fabulous.

パトンからの距離が丁度よいロケーション。何度か利用してますが、日本人客を含みアジア人が少なくなかなかよいです。 シャトルバスの本数がもう少しあると便利ですが、レンタバイクなどを使えば、足には困らない。 とてもよいホテルです。

Friendly staff, very helpful, great location with transport provided to Patong. Room was clean and we got what we asked for. Pool was just right out the door and the beach there too, with lots of choices to eat from. The lobby was a great place to chill out with live music. Spacious, and even though a busy Hotel..we didnt feel like people were in our face. Even though a wee way out of town, free transport was provided. But is was nice to have that distance from the very busy Patong. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, very clean. Choices of restaurant was great, food was lovely. The little internet cafe was cool to hang out in and for using the internet. Pool areas are fantastic with a clean pool. Absolutely would stay here again next year.

amazing hotel , i will take it for honeymoon. not clean beach , not good to swim on the beach. really nice hotel , 3 pools, international pool..my room access pool is really cool, friendly staff also.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : u need taxi to patong beach 200-300 Baht,or rent motorbike 150 baht/day really cool hotel u can't walk to get the patong beach.

Nice pool, nice room, employee is very kindly. The transportation to Patong beach is very bad.
The hotel is very far from Patong.
The food is very expencive.
The transportation to Patong beach is very bad, the from Airport to Merlin is 400 baht but from Merlin to the airport is 1000 from taxi hotel.
The food is very expensive and to eat in Patong is expensive too because of the transportation.
There is a bad smell on floor 1, it is better on floor 3.
They exchange our room at midnight after we asked them the third time.
It was our honeymoon and even though it was a beautiful hotel I am not recomending!!!
I cried a lot in the first day,I will not be there again!
Travel tip : Do not take floor 1.
Do not eat lunch in the hotel.

Where do I start. This resort is Wonderful. Private and away from the madness in Patong. Wonderfully and meticulously maintained. All rooms open to a pool (or view of). Staff are fantastic. Great for kids. relaxing, friendly. Food was good. Hard to think of anything - Being private and away from Patong means that you have to get yourself into Patong. Hotel has shuttle service but only a few trips per day. Cabs wait out the front and are sharks. Best bet is to hire a car that will get you round and get you to Phuket and into the countryside as well. We enjoyed this resort a great deal. It is very relaxed but upmarket. They have a nice cocktail bar with band nightly, there's a bar IN the pool so you don't even have to get out of the water and they have waiter service if you are soaking up the sun. Also it has a gym, reading room/library, internet, Ping Pong, Pool/8 ball table, activities for the kids.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Seems to be that all cabs and Tuk Tuks, not only in Patong but Bangkok, have deals with shops. They will offer you a cheap fare and take you to shops that you don't really want to go to and the driver gets a kickback. Best bet, research what you want to see and where you want to go carefully before arriving, hire a local to guide you and hire your own car.
