We enjoyed this resort a great deal. It is very relaxed but upmarket. They have a nice cocktail bar with band nightly, there's a bar IN the pool so you don't even have to get out of the water and they have waiter service if you are soaking up the sun. Also it has a gym, reading room/library, internet, Ping Pong, Pool/8 ball table, activities for the kids.

Where do I start. This resort is Wonderful. Private and away from the madness in Patong. Wonderfully and meticulously maintained. All rooms open to a pool (or view of). Staff are fantastic. Great for kids. relaxing, friendly. Food was good.

Hard to think of anything - Being private and away from Patong means that you have to get yourself into Patong. Hotel has shuttle service but only a few trips per day. Cabs wait out the front and are sharks. Best bet is to hire a car that will get you round and get you to Phuket and into the countryside as well.

• Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Seems to be that all cabs and Tuk Tuks, not only in Patong but Bangkok, have deals with shops. They will offer you a cheap fare and take you to shops that you don't really want to go to and the driver gets a kickback. Best bet, research what you want to see and where you want to go carefully before arriving, hire a local to guide you and hire your own car.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the place was clean and tidy - we would definitely return.

• Shopping Tip : Take the free shuttle bus - it drops you right at the bargain markets!

If you want to make bookings for trips do it in Patong at one of the travel agents. Same trips but cheaper. For James Bond Island I recomend the afternoon trip on the big bus leaving from Patong plus longtail boat. I would avoid the speed boats for tours as it is a very unpleasant and bumpy ride. I have done the speed boats twice to my cost . Book your Simon Cabaret at their theatre; same seat but much lower cost. Recomended.

• Hotel Feature Tip : When booking your trip back to the airport book the hotel Mercedes car ony 150B ($7) more for an element of luxury.

There are several good restaurants within walking distance that had better food than the resort at half the price.

• Restaurant Tip : The Little Tiger restaurant on the hill next door has better food much cheaper.

Such a shame Guest Rating: 3.0

It is obvious that management is on a massive cost cutting excercise. Staff are not happy and many of their top manangers have moved on to other places. Much staff turnaround which is not good for such premises that charge so much and try to cream every cent out you. Staff become somewhat aggressive quickly if you try to stand your ground.

• Restaurant Tip : This restaurant makes nice food even though dropped a little in quality but still makes very good Papaya Salad (very healthy).

A relax place not too far away from the city Guest Rating: 4.3

so if you prefer to stay in hotel more than going out to the city and shopping, this will be a greater place to stay.
