the entrance is tucked in between a couple of other places, you have to drive all the way to the end of the driveway. the resort itself is laid out pretty well, the pool is nice, had a pool access room. they have hardwood floors, they seemed a little bit slick, so watch out. they have a bar by the pool about 20' away, instead of having a 2 tiered pool bar, they put so much into the pool being nice, why not finish it right. the breakfast bar needs some work, your not going to starve, but it does need some tweaking with what they put out.

Nice rooms, big bathroom.
I enjoyed my stay at the Metadee. The size of the rooms were very nice, even the bathroom was a nice size. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. Very reasonably priced and in walking distance of vendors. The pool was nice and I liked the fact that it ran the length of the hotel. If you can take advantage of the room with the pool access. If I'm in Thailand again, I'd return to the Metadee for my stay.
Shopping Tip : Don't settle on the initial price the locals offer. Bargain down until you get a price your comfortable with.

- Located slightly away from main road. About 300m walk out to the front.

My stay at Matedee overall was pretty good. As it is new, the rooms and facilities were up to standard. The Toilet is very huge and I love the lemongrass shampoo and shower gel provided. No complains about the room size and had a fantastic view of the swimming pool. The pool cuts across the buildings and having a leisurely swim from one end to the other was a good experience. My package did not come with breakfast so did not try the hotel food. But there are restaurants along the main road which take about 10 mins to walk out. One thing to note that if you do want breakfast outside, not many places are open in the morning and you have to walk to nearby bed & breakfast places to eat. My suggestion? just sleep in and do an early lunch! =P
Hotel Feature Tip : If you do have to take a cab back to the hotel, give the drivers the name of the Kata Palm Hotel which is located at the main road, just along the driveway to Matedee.
