Stay in Millinnium Resort
location is good - convenient and we don't have to waste time bargaining with the Tuk Tuk drivers. Room is nicely done up - very comfortable and has everything that I need. Staff was very friendly and has a reasonable command of English.

Overall, I think this newly built hotel was quite nice. Though there were some problems with it also.
I thought the staff was quite poilte and helpful. Also, the hotel had a travel desk that was able to organize the tours that I wanted, and were also able to acomodate last-minute changes to the tour requests. The hotel is located next to a shopping mall, to which it has an internal entrance from the hotel lobby, which is quite nice for those who like to shop. The hotel is located quite close to the main street with all the shops, bars, restaurants, etc.
It is neat and clean, and has decent rooms.
However, th hotel is quite far way from the beach. A good 15 minute walk which is further away than I was expecting it to be. We had some problems with electrocity (there was a problem with the slot into which you put the room key to make the room lights come on, which didn't seem to work sometimes). There were some problems with the AC in the room, but it was fixed by staff when complained.
So, obverall, it was satisfactory, and I would recommend it to anyone given that they know that the hotel is not on the beach, and the so-called "Ocean Wing" of the hotel is not really any closer to the ocean than the rest of the hotel!

Location is good if you do not insist staying in a hotel very close to a beach in Phuket. Shopping mall Jungceylon just next to the hotel with Carrefour where you can get everything. Also cheap pedicure/manicure/facial and others. The Patong beach is only 10 minutes' walk away. The room price was good since we were there before the Christmas holidays. Not a bad choice overall.

great and stellar staffs i'd say, i left my camera at the hotel's lobby and i came back 20 mins later or so, the staffs told me they kept it for me. overall the hotel and rooms are good but only one of the lift is working when they have two of them.
Nightlife Tip:
tip-top location , right nxt to shopping centre though the shopping centre aint that superior.10 mins walk to clubs (great for nightlife goers) and 20-25 mins walk to the beach.

Modern, friendly hotel right in the middle of Patong.

The Millenium hotel is situated just behind the new JungCeylon shopping center at Patong Beach.
It's a short stroll to Bangla Road and its many bars, but the hotel is not affected by noise.
All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
The main pool is large, but maybe lacks a few sunbeds for busy times.
The breakfast buffet was very good, but my only complaint is that the dining room was infested with mosquitoes and we had to remember to apply repellent before breakfast to avoid coming away covered in bites.

Great hotel! I especially like its expanse of space and a vast private beach which does not lent itself to much touting. The room I was in has a great pool view, and from the balcony, one can hear the distant roar of waves lapping on shore; Very relaxing. However, its distance from town is a drawback, which is compounded by no compliment transfer to and from town.
Restaurant Tip:
They have great restaurants in the hotel; each with its unique and relaxing ambience.

overall the hotel is excellent, very friendly staff, rooms are clean and room service responds quickly when you call. i stayed in the cabana room which is very nice (i really advise going for this room) it has its own jacuzzi and you can access the pool directly from your room.
Nightlife Tip:
do not miss walking in the bang la road just next to the hotel,,, it's crazy out there

Millenium Hotel Phuket (Lakeside)
It was a nice, clean hotel in a reasonable location. The rooms are all set around an open air atrium "of sorts" that provides a nice setting. The biggest pro for this property is the fact that it is attached to the Junceylon Shopping Centre,

Having being to Phuket on 6 occasions I have stayed at a number of different properties. I can honestly say that of all the properties this is the first one that I would not return to. As I have indicated the hotel was nice enough and clean however the location (being one road back from the main beach road)was not fantastic. Bearing in mind that it is being promoted as a 4.5/5 star property I would definately say there is better value in places like Holiday Inn (particulary Busakorn wing) and Merling Beach. The pool really lets the property down and lets face it when you are staying at a property that it a reasonable distance from the beach (the most direct route being via Bangla road) it would be advantageous of the property to have good pool facilities, I can only describe them as less than average.
