Excellent. Only regret was that the children cot was too small for my 3 year old, so he had to sleep on the bed. It would have been perfect if there were different sized cots to suit children of various ages.

We spent one month in Thailand and decided to go for luxury to end our stay. Our experience in Moevenpick was mixed. The breakfast was good, the bed was amazing, the spa and spa deals were very good (2 for 1 massage) and the beach bar area was good but the general layout of the hotel was very strange (for example, the spa entrance was in the parking lot?) The biggest downside was lack of ambience in the hotel. The place appeared to be deserted during our stay. Better value for money is found elsewhere.

this was an excellent choice for us. the hotel is very new with great facilities. the best part is it's walking distance to beach (breakfast on the beach), and close to great food. we ate at lotus everyday, and love their seafood. we pretty much tried almost everything on their menu, and almost everything was perfect.
the beach is calm and you can take a longtail boat to nearby small island for snorkeling.
kids loved everything and they didn't want to go home at all.
hotel breakfast was ok, view was the best part.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you want to go snorkeling, no need to join the tour, you can just hire a longtail boat in front of the hotel for day, and there is a little island nearby to see all the pretty fishes.

the hotel is quite money-oriented and wants to squeeze every penny from the guest. they even put 2 items of unidentified restaurant bills to my room account before i complained. the breakfast is not very clean and a lot of flies are looking at your food at the same time. my mom, my daughter and i got sick after having one breakfast and it almost ruined the holiday afterwards.

Loved the hotel. Rooms are big and well furnished, kitchens well set up. Lovely pool with our room which was much used. If no steps into the pool the hotel will set one up for you very quickly.
The beach club is a delightful spot for breakfast and a laze by the beach, however there need to be some rules set as to to bed useage, perhaps noone there for 30 mins and they become available to people improvising with swabs from the seating in the Club.
Breakfast is plentiful and caters for all tastes. Must congratulate the Chef who is always around ensuring all runs smoothly. He is exceptional both in his food and his attitude. Puntikan? our room man was also exceptional with his cleaning ability and caring attitude.
We will certainly here in future as we really enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay. We were at the absolutely busiest week, so beach chair availability was sometimes tough. Breakfast was included, pastries were great, egg bar was good, buffet food needed to be kept a bit warmer. All in all very good and would return.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There is a nice snorkeling location at a nearby small island. Hire a local longboat to take you there.

Very easy and friendly check in. Beautiful suite with big pool, well equipprd kitchen and heaps of room. Our gentleman cleaner is amazing and does a fantastic job.
Breakfast buffet is excellent with the Chef constantly checking all is as it should be. No shortages of choices, with European, English and Thai dishes. Staff throughout the hotel are exceptional and nothing is too much trouble.
The Pool Club has plenty of sun beds and excellent staff. Is very convient and just outside the hotel, a great place to sunbathe and swim.
We absolutely love this hotel and having discovered it will certainly be returning.
Restaurant Tip:
Try Lotus and Tonys restaurants on the beach.

my family of 6 adults and a toddler stayed with moevenpick resort bangtao beach phuket during our short vacation to phuket. we booked a 3 bedroom residence on day 1 and day 2. we switched to seaview jacuzzi penthouse 3 bedrooms on day 3. one word to described our stay was "great". upon reaching the resort, we r greeted by the staffs with drinks n flowers. we felt so welcomed. was brought to our rooms and our first word was "wow"... the rooms r really huge and nice. i love the bathrooms the most.... spacious and really clean. my little girl enjoyed her stay. there is ample area for her to run about. and the bathtub was so huge and comfy that she simply enjoying herself in it. the breakfast provided by the hotel was delicious with a wide variety of choices. i would definitely love to go back again. thumbs up to the resorts n staffs.
