The hotel is across the street from the beach. Beautiful landscaping all around. There are multiple swimming pools and a few restaurants to choose from there as well. The bed was comfortable in the room. Good variety at breakfast buffet.
The shower/bath was awkward in design and function...it is at least a foot and a half to get in and out of it so it would be tough for anyone with an injury to use. Price is on the high side.
The hotel is geared for families and kids, so single people should avoid this hotel. The beach in Karon is great...the sand squeaks under your feet as it is very fine coral sand. The night life in Karon is almost non-existent (e.g. have dinner and go to your room wink wink). Patong is one beach away ~ 10 minute drive. This hotel was great for me and my partner to have some quiet time for a couple days.

The gardens and pools are beautiful, not too busy, service and staff very friendly and helpful, their English not too bad.
The floor inside and out in the plunge pool villas were very slippery when wet, very dangerous. The daybed in the sea view rooms should've been the same size as the ones in the plunge pool villas, bit too short for our son to sleep comfortably on.
Overall the Mövenpick is a fantastic resort, would recommend it to anyone. The service, food and staff were great. One thing I noticed though for a resort in Asia, that around the pools, not main one there was no food/drink service available and none of the staff cleaned up empty bottles left from guests during the day, only at sunset a staff member would go around and fix the sun lounges and take rubbish away. The rooms were always cleaned immaculately. For a family resort it was great, nice and quiet and relaxing, close to beach and restaurants.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : A must see and experience is the John Gray Seacanoe trip, you will experience sea caves, nice friendly staff and great food served on board.

Movenpick's staff are outstanding in every way, right from check-in to check-out. We had a wonderful stay and for staying two years in a row would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Karon beach area.
In time the rooms will need a make over, but no real complaints.
We had a wonderful stay at the Movenpick for the second time in 2 years. Upon arrival we were picked up at the airport and taken to the hotel where check-in was flawless. The staff are excellent in every way. The morning buffet breakfast is outstanding. The pool areas are very good and the spa at the the resort was excellent.

Great breakfast buffet, great swimming pool, beautiful setting, close to the beach
Rooms we stayed at were quite old and would need a renovation
We stayed in a room at one of the two main buildings of the hotel. The rooms are old and could use a "make up". The window doors (which are unnecessary) between the bathroom and the sleeping area, didn't close properly anymore. The wood looks like it needs some fresh paint.
There is a more beautiful area to the hotel, which consists of small villas. But these were not offered to us and it is not very clear how to book them.
There are lots of things to do for children - playarea and pools.
The location is about 1 hr from the airport - with traffic it might be more.
All in all the stay was very pleasant.

Tennis court was not in good condition.
This hotel is very good for family with children. There are three pools. Staff are very kind and everyone can speak english. There are small cars inside hotel area. It will be better if they can have cars which runs with batteri. The ocean view rooms are very nice and the hotel is near beach area. I strongly recommend this hotel. we had a very wonderful time there.

don't feed the monkeys on trips, daughter got bitten having rabies jabs. i would go back. long flight.

nice location, beautiful gardens, good service
you have to pay for kids club use even if you supervise your kid youself; taxis/tuktuks from Karon beach are a lot more expensive than at Patong.
The hotel is great; I would definetely stay there again. There are a lot of restaurants around the hotel, so you do not need to walk miles to get something to eat outside the hotel's food outlets. The poolis fantastic and my baby loved the slide. The Sea had something in the water that kept on biting us, we did not had that at Patong beach 2 days earlier though.

Nicely decorated room, friendly staff, the beach is just across the street from the hotel, if you want to escape busy Patong area, this is the hotel for you!
The bed is too soft for us, if you like hard bed you might want to ask when you check in. The internet is over priced, 350 baht for an hour, but they do have free internet in the library till 7pm.
This hotel is nicely decorated inside and out, the garden area, and the room are superb! The beach is just across the street from the hotel, and it's not as busy as Patong beach. Even though it's not as busy as Patong, but there are enough restaurant and shop stalls for you. I would recommend this hotel to people who like some peace and quiet but don't want to stay in a place that is dead in Phuket.
Restaurant Tip : There are many restaurants outside of the hotel when you walk towards Kata beach area.

comfortable bed. Price in Agoda is the best. Value for money.
A 2-year old resort-style modern hotel which you will enjoy walking in every path. I stayed in a sea-view room, though the room is not big and beach is actually far away, I enjoyed sitting in the balcony for the sea breeze and the view. The room decoration is modern but comfortable. I love their bed, I could fall alseep in 2 mins even i've been suffering from sleep disorder problem. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. I'm amazed that they always know when I need help, and even provided some extra help, like asking the tour agent for sending us from movenpick to hilton(just next door but it would take 15 mins walking under the sun)with very little money. They've different type of room and villas so it's a very big resort. They use tuk tuk to send their guests from room to beach, it's fun! The price in Agoda is unbelieveable good, value for money!!

Luxurious and spacious. Very nice and clean all over. Excellent rooms and suites. Perfect service and location.
A very nice and friendly hotel and resort with a high quality service all over. Hospitality and customer relations are excellent and also the rooms and suites, villas are beautifully decorated. Really close to the beach and perfect for families as well as business people. This is a resort that offers everything to all kinds of customers.
Hotel Feature Tip : It's open and really spacious all over. Clean and secure wherever you go. You can feel very comfortable all the time and enjoy every single second!

Very nice place to stay in Karon beach. We reserved a penthouse Plunge Pool Villa located in a beautiful tropical garden. Perfect place for relaxation. You can find a spa, different restaurants, 3 swimming pools, free internet, a fitness center, a Game Lounge features a full-size snooker table, pool table,... It is necessary to cross the street to arrive at the beach. Excellent breakfast

Right next to Karon beach
Price is good
Hotel rooms aren't so great
Overall the staff was very friendly. The pool area is a nice place for a few drinks. The restaraunts by the beach are great and affordable. Convenient location only 10 mins from Pattong.
Travel tip : Karom beach is one of the nicest beaches in Phuket

Very beautiful and big garden, with large variety of tropical plants.
Quiet and peaceful place, where you can rest and enjoy your holiday.
One small improvement like wheather forecast for next day delivered in the evening when maids are opening the beds.
We enjoyed our stay at the Movenpick Resort & Spa. The garden is very beautiful and big, with large variety of tropical plants. Pools are big and well kept.
The premises were quiet and peaceful at night and we had very good sleep.
Ocean and beach are very near and it was easy to go there. The waves were sometimes quite rough but we enjoyed swimming in the Sea. On the beach, be careful of sandflies (avoid laying on sand).

overall a very nice hotel. only thing i disliked about the receptionists was that they wanted me to pay 4000 baht extra for a better room because they were fully booked. Even tho I had my booking confirmation. I refused, and after a discussion they finally gave me the room without extra cost.
