Naiya Buree Resort at Nai Harn Beach Phuket Info
On the southern tip of Phuket, 2.6 km from Nai Harn beach lies the Naiya Buree Resort. With few resorts nearby, guests are guaranteed peace and quiet, and if you feel like going out of the resort, transportation is provided. The hotel is 45 minutes from the airport and just 15 minutes from Phuket town. The popular Kata and Karon beaches are 10-15 minutes away, while the tourist haven of Patong is 30 minutes away. The Icon Pub and Restaurant on-site is open till late, perfect to grab a bite to eat before you head out to explore the nightlife in the area. Well-finished rooms, nice pool. We stayed at the Naiya Buree for 2 nights. Our impression of the hotel facilities was good: the roome were spacious with large bathroom and confy beds. Room overlooked the pool which was also good.
Our impression of the hotel management was not so good, though. We are a family of 5 (3 children), and though we had booked a normal room, were asked to pay a "joiners fee" of 500baht per person per night for the children. This would have worked out more than the room itself! We protested, explaining that having our chilren stay with us should not incur such a large fee.
We eventually agreed on charging for only 1 joiner per nt - still it left us feeling disappointed.
Our other dissatisfaction was breakfast, which is taken at the neighbouring bar, also owned by the same person. We were entitled to one item from the menu, but they wanted to charge me for a refill coffee, which was only instant! Also, we arrived by car, but were not allowed to park in the hotel car park! Apparently only the owner is allowed to park there!!
Overall, it is a nice hotel as long as you don't mind the strict rules imposed by management...
Hotel Feature Tip : Don't go there if you are with children. Also, don't have too high hopes for a filling breakfast!

The hotel is generally very nice, the rooms are large and clean. The beds are comfortable.
The pool area is nicely designed and shady with lots of plants. There is ample parking space. WiFi Internet is available in the room, but not free of charge.
Check in and check out were quick and staff were friendly. The shower is a disaster, shower head was completely calcified, and the water pressure varied greatly. The only way to take a decent shower was to remove the shower head, which was like showering under a waterfall...
Apart from this the only real issue was the aircondition, which was new and cool, but surprisingly noisy. The hotel is not in walking distance of the beach, but close to some restaurants and shops. It is surrounded by some bars which are quite noisy, but it is not heard inside the hotel area. But it may not be the ideal family environment, also there are not many activities possible in the hotel.
Restaurant Tip : We can recommend Banana Corner, it's a nice garden restaurant.

The reception was shakey, but they made every effort to make it up later. When the morning cook was not able to come in to make breakfast, the substitute did bring our breakfast to us while sitting near the pool! Out of the way place and no one was answering phones after 5:00 p.m. so taxi driver was not able to talk to anyone. I would recommend a verbal set of directions to the place. Not on beach, but the pool and sun is great. We needed a one night stay before checking into the resort down the raod. The Naiya Buree Resort at Nai Harn Beach was available for a very low price with a one day's notice during May, but also it was a 3 day holiday weekend. The place was quiet. Yes, you can party hardy at the 'friendly' bars next door, but they close the entrance to the walkway so noise does not carry. nice, huge closet space and accomodating staff. Basically quiet area and relaxing spot with nice pool and sun deck, but not next to beach. The site shoudl have written directions in English and Thai so taxi driver knows how to find it. When the breakfast cook did not make it in, the little gal went out of her way to bring the breakfast to us.... right next to the pool! We felt like royalty!
Restaurant Tip : The German restaurant across the road made the best pizza I have had in the five years living in Thailand!
