Naiya Buree Resort at Nai Harn Beach, Phuket

We stayed a night in this resort. We got what we paid for. It is very basic and old, yet the rooms are clean and shower is hot. The airconditioner was really noisy, some funny noises at night and early morning from neighboring rooms, and the bed was very uncomfortable. However, if you are looking for a basic room at very affordable rates, then this resort isn't too bad.

We stayed at the Naiya Buree for 2 nights. Our impression of the hotel facilities was good: the roome were spacious with large bathroom and confy beds. Room overlooked the pool which was also good. Our impression of the hotel management was not so good, though. We are a family of 5 (3 children), and though we had booked a normal room, were asked to pay a "joiners fee" of 500baht per person per night for the children. This would have worked out more than the room itself! We protested, explaining that having our chilren stay with us should not incur such a large fee. We eventually agreed on charging for only 1 joiner per nt - still it left us feeling disappointed. Our other dissatisfaction was breakfast, which is taken at the neighbouring bar, also owned by the same person. We were entitled to one item from the menu, but they wanted to charge me for a refill coffee, which was only instant! Also, we arrived by car, but were not allowed to park in the hotel car park! Apparently only the owner is allowed to park there!! Overall, it is a nice hotel as long as you don't mind the strict rules imposed by management...

The hotel is not in walking distance of the beach, but close to some restaurants and shops. It is surrounded by some bars which are quite noisy, but it is not heard inside the hotel area. But it may not be the ideal family environment, also there are not many activities possible in the hotel.
