Gorgeous views from my room 503. Nice 3 level pools. Away from busy Patong Beach and quiet. Shuttle into town stop too early (last service 16:00). Security men rude to guest at the gate and non-English speaking. No free internet access for guest. Unhelpful front desk staffs. Friendly Bellman. We stayed there for 4days and 3nights. We got the great view from our room. The last day we checked out to go to Phi Phi Island and arranged the transport with outside travel agency (every excursion is cheaper than the hotel). While waiting for the van to pick us up as scheduled, the van was running later for 45 min because they had to pick up other guests from different hotel around Patong’s Hotel. After 30 min of waiting, we asked the front desk to help us call the agency phone # because we already checked out and had not phone access. The staffs replied that they will charge us for 35Ba/min for the phone call. I was furious how they treated their guest that way. It was not about the money, it was a courtesy that they should help their guests depart from their hotel safe and on-time. We were more worry that we might missed the Ferry to Phi Phi Island. We had to ask for the manager to complain to her. We waited another 15 min for the manager to be available to us. After talking to her, she stated that this is Novotel policy that to charge the guest every phone call they make (it was a local #). I told her that this is not about the money, we could pay for whatever it cost, but it is the courtesy of the hotel to help out their guest in needs of an emergency. Finally, the van showed up while the manager was trying to call the agency for us. I feel that this is my 5th Novotel that I stayed throughout the years of traveling (Novotel in Nha Trang, Sofitel in Ha Noi, Novotel in Saigon, Vietnam. Novotel in Kowloon, HongKong), this one is the worst customer service ever. I would not stay at Novotel again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Walk down the street, you will get better deal with all your tours and airport pick up. Never buy any tours from the hotel, they will overcharge you.

very clean and quiet.3 restaurants.3 pools 2 tennis courts and ping pong table. very steep hill or alot of stairs to rooms.extra guest stay overnight expensive. good hotel for families, with 3 restaurants 3 swimming pools,friendly staff,a table tennis table and 2 tennis courts.beach 100mtrs away and in quiet part of patong.rooms in the 100s to 200s are at front of hotel, ie less of a walk.hotel does have a free tuk tuk at entrance to drive up hill but was never there when i came back so walked up stairs.traffic also drives on right lanes instead of left so beware at all times even traffic going wrong way down one way streets.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : a must do is a trip to phi phi or one of the other many islands around phuket.pristine beaches and friendly locals with snorkelling and wild monkeys on monkey island(just a beach really that u swim to off ferry where about 30 monkeys frolic),even better if u can afford speedboat which can go into the many bays that the ferry cannot go.
