Good hotel, away from the noise of Patong beach

I recommend P.S Hill as a good hotel to stay in if your coming to Patong beach and you want a retreat away from the noise of Bangla Rd, etc. I was upgraded to a Deluxe room on arrival because I was staying 8 nights. The room was huge and in good condition.
The main downside to this hotel was the internet speed ranged from good to non-existent. However, when I had a problem connecting I was able to call the reception and they were able to flick a switch and the connection would come back. The other downside was the water pressure and temperature were also inconsistent.
Traveler's tips:
If your taxi driver is unsure of where the hotel is tell them its just after Simon's cabaret, as everyone knows where that is.
Also, always use the safety deposit box in your room.

it was not quite as good as our last visit with the new staff shy and not as friendly as the previous staff and the cleaning ladies a bit lazy this time (kept forgetting to give bottled water etc) but apart from that, we had a good time, very laidback and relaxing,swimming in their nice designed pool. Some of the new recently built rooms looked nice with great views of Patong beach and mountians!! we stayed in an old room by choice cos it was lot quieter, than the two new buildings up on the hill. Breaky buffet standard has slipped, i notice they are trying to cut too many corners. Shuttle bus runs for free four times a day ending at 10 Pm so no good for the party animals who like to stay up ;late partyimg on Bangla road nightclub precinct, cos transport home is expensive and a nuisance.(hotel is long way from the main drag , JUncelyon shops., clubs, restaurants.) The water festival pistol fights were the highlight of our trip, the staff all joined in and got wet! we stayed bout a month until the food choices at breaky became too boring to endure any longer.
