Friendly staff, great pool, for a great price

Green Mountain Resort is a great hotel with a very friendly staff. It was a little hard to find at first and is about 20 minute walking from the main district, but has a wonderful pool and a great view of the city. I did have to ask for fresh towels on the second day. They also charge additional for overnight guest, but price was reasonable. The room was clean and comfortable. I will visit again.

Tidy room, nice pool with a bar, convenient shuttle to the beach, location with view over big portion of Patong
Big noise from the construction yard next to the hotel. The tiny shower failed to provide warm water.
Provided that there is no construction going on next to the hotel and the water issue is fixed, the hotel is great value. Location is actually quite good since it's away from the "vibrance" of Patong's tourist-packed streets.

Great very clean rooms with free internet, good air con. No hassel. Very clean pool and good size.
A bit away from the village; rent a m/c for 100 bhat to go and come OK. Breakfast very bland..same every day.
I originally booked for 4 nights, but because it was such good value (off season prices 650 bhat), I couldn't resist to re-book several times. 2 weeks was enough in Patong anyway. Met some good people here from Turkey, but the hotel was almost empty (Pool to ourselves- great)You really need the m/c to come and go, but in the village can get easily for 150, or 100 bhat if you do long time rental.
Hotel Feature Tip : Very cheap and good for off season travelling. We were lucky...it only rained sometimes...do it !!
