very nice desk staff.basic room. bed left me with back pain and the rain was so loud off some steel beams below the window it was often hard to sleep. breakfast was abysmal as the staff seemed lazy. every day i had to ask for potatoes and fruit since they would run out and no one bothered to refill a thing. worst coffee i've ever tasted. on the bright side, omelette was tasty but other choices were extremely limited. location is good. and room is clean.
you can find similar quality for 1/2 the price.

Neatly presented and quiet yet close to the action

the hotel was suprisingly tucked away of a reaonsably main thoroughfare yet presented very little noise from outside the hotel, with the exception of the rain on the central walkway roof/verandah. the hotel is easy to find located just off soi sanabai and is close to the nightlife on bangla road, markets for both fresh food and night meals and a short work to otop markets and the beach. the staff were friendly and helpful and always greeted with a smile. great value !!
Restaurant Tip:
If you like italian, try the first one you come across down Soi Sansabai with the wood fired pizza oven out the front

this hotel locates very near to junceylon shopping mall, bangla road (walking street) & banzann market. you will have no difficulties in getting entertainments,cuisines & massages. the room is a bit small but reasonable for the price paid.good breakfast provides daily.... but of the same varieties...

The place is only great for backpackers,not recommend for couples and family..the guys from pubs will bring Gers over to this hotel.it's a unpleasant sight.

Great hotel with great staff

Myself my girlfriend and another friend had three nights at Patong Hemmingways and I was very happy with my stay. It's walking distance to Bangla. About 5 mins. The room is clean, a nice big flatscreen TV and had a small balcony.
The rooftop pool with bar is a great place to chill out in the afternoon. We had 3 days of rain so just went up to the roof had a few beers and watched the rain go bye.
The breakfast is good with real back bacon and sausages. It's also served until 1030 which is good if you've had a late night.
The staff at check in, bars and at breakfast are happy and helpful. Honestly I could not fault it for 24 gbp a great price.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The rooftop bar is great for chilling out with a few beers.

Friendly but indifferent service

The location is great (close to Jungceylon, Bangla road, the beach) and the room was nice and clean. The swimming pool is very small.
The staff are friendly and polite and helped us book some speedboat tours, but they didn't seem very organized in a few ways. Our 5 day stay was broken into two bookings, and although we spoke to them before arriving we only got our preferred room for part of the stay (we had to move across the hall). In the second room, the trash wasn't cleared yet when we moved in. It also had no telephone, the liquid soap dispenser was empty and the sink was partially blocked. While the trash was cleared the other problems were never fixed although we mentioned it to the front desk staff four times.

Hemingway hotel was a comfortable place to stay in patong.the room is large and clean.the service is really good so when i and my wife stay there we feel like home.the hotel near to mall,food court,beach and market so we can spend time by walking around.

Rooms are small but clean. Great location within walking distance to all Patong has to offer but remarkably there is no street noise due to the location.
