Poor attitude of tour booking lady.......werent made to feel very welcome or that staff could do anything to help...... Check in staff very pleasant......resort was full of package tour people mostly australians.....breakfast was ok
Restaurant Tip : Floyds .....excellent restaurant next to the marriot hotel.....fairy lights fantastc food.....

The hotel has a beautiful garden set up with all three pools it is a very picturesque hotel to stay at.Perfect location for beach access as well. Rooms a little bit small and very hollow which means you can here everything next door.Prices were also very expensive in the hotel. The patong merlin hotel is a fantastic place to enjoy a holiday.The pool areas are spectacular and the hospitality is fantastic.The resort facilities are exceptional and the location which is extremely important is perfect for the tourist looking for accesss to everything.Weather in Phuket was a little dull but the temperature was still high enough to enjoy a fantastic holiday

Its location, its size, the pools, gardens and entertainment When we booked into the Patong Merlin we were disappointed to find that we did not have a pool view room so asked reception for a move. We were offered a room overlooking the pool with an apology that the wing did not have a lift, olthough older, the room was clean and confortable for three persons. Staff were all very friendly and most spoke English well, all restraunts were very good as was the entertainment provided most nights in the hotel or the outside dining area at the beachfront. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Shopping Tip : Dont bother visiting Phuket Town for shopping.

- Ton Sai - A small falls over which pours a great volume of water during the rainy season. The trees, watercourses, and pools nearby provide one of Phuket's loveliest scenes. The park headquarter and a small restaurant with an excellent view are also at Ton Sai. Located near Thalang Town, 22 kms. from Phuket Town.
- Bang Pae - Best known now as the site of the Gibbon Fund, a project to return domesticated gibbons to the forest, Bang Pae is a small waterfall with a shady forest and thick foliage surrounding. To get there go to the Two Heroines Monument and take the road running east, the Pakhlok Rd., 7 kms. to Bang Pae. Look for the posted signs.
