Very large hotel, got three swimming pool, very high class, good service, good breakfast, near to beach and night life, shopping and many more.. there are still some staff can't understand english well. When you told any local people that you are staying in patong merlin hotel, their reaction are surprise and very impress, they will said what a big hotel and very expensive hotel that she/he cannot affort it. It really make me proud and feel very fortunate. I believe patong merlin hotel is very famous and almost all the local people heard or knew about it. One more thing, during my stay, i notice 99% hotel guest are not asian which make me and my partner are the only asian guest. It make me feel like i am in Europe.

The location was good, breakfast was great with plenty of variety and we had a lovely room overlooking the pool. Overall I found the staff were not very friendly, with the exception of the ladies cleaning our room.

location in the centre - very busy if you want to be in the action

rooms were average
bad views Great place to stay if you like being in the centre, close to the shopping. The rooms are old but they have everything you need. There is a pool and a pool bar which is nice to hang around, and probably the only way to relax as the beach is just swarmed with people. If you are coming with friends and want to be close to the shopping, action, bars, etc this would be a great place. If you are coming with a family or partner I would not advise it.
Restaurant Tip : great bunch of restaurants down the road - don't stick around for the hotel dinner

- Ton Sai - A small falls over which pours a great volume of water during the rainy season. The trees, watercourses, and pools nearby provide one of Phuket's loveliest scenes. The park headquarter and a small restaurant with an excellent view are also at Ton Sai. Located near Thalang Town, 22 kms. from Phuket Town.
- Bang Pae - Best known now as the site of the Gibbon Fund, a project to return domesticated gibbons to the forest, Bang Pae is a small waterfall with a shady forest and thick foliage surrounding. To get there go to the Two Heroines Monument and take the road running east, the Pakhlok Rd., 7 kms. to Bang Pae. Look for the posted signs.
