Really disappointed

I would not recommend this hotel, not just because Patong is not very nice at all, but the standard was not really there at all. The room was reasonable, we had a pool access room although the pool is cold in temperature and as a couple it wasnt really convenient to have kids swimming around at your door step. In saying this, it is a kid friendly hotel. One thing that was disappointing was the fact that they didnt even clean our room???? Even though we left at 9:30am and didnt get back till 5. We didnt even get fresh towels and the bed was not made. The reception staff are not particularly friendly or accomodative, and when we asked for a airport transfer we were responded to with a blank face and a 'no too early'. I hardely think that 6pm is too early for a airport transfer? We had breakfast included, although if you want an espresso you have to pay extra? There is an egg chef which is great, but pretty standard across most hotels in Thailand.
You are greated with 1kg of fruit for free, but dont be fooled the welcome 'cocktail' is a juice.
The bar is lovely though, cute little couches and a good cocktail menu. Other than that I wouldnt recommend it as more than a 'family friendly' hotel with the emphasis on 'family' and not 'friendly'.
Restaurant Tip:
Acqua Restaurant just up the road from the Novotel is amazing!

Best value with very nice pool
Very close to the beach, two minimarts just cross the street, big swimming pool, nice room, good service

The hotel is located on quiet location and next to the beach only crossing the street. Far from noisy entertainment of Patong. Nice room, my family loved it every much, so we had great time during our stay.
Shopping Tip:
about 1 miles from the shopping area and hotel provides 3 trips free shuttle bus from hotel to junceylon.

a quiet location with not many shops around, even massage shop also only 3 around, no night life or shopping whatever so., good for people who does not like noisy parties.., must travel to night life activities., but nice hotel, looks new, have to stay in a pool access room, very big room size, with a king bed and a side platform bigger then king size, can convert into a huge bed, ideal for families.., big window to look into pool, nice view..,

Big Rooms and Quiet Location at Beach

We atayed 7 nights with Breakfast.
The breakfast was good variety and really nice. The room was well set out and very confortable. Located at north end of Patong Beach away from the crowds. Walk across the road to beach. Food at hotel vey good. Spa and gym are also very good. Pool acess was really good and although we did not use the pool much, it was great to just walk into from the room.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go and see "Mr Peter" outside B Lay Tong Resort. He sits there every day across the road. 2 mins walk away from Paragon.
He will give you an your island tours to lookouts, big buddha, temples and shopping all for a good price. Good English and really a nice person, Air Conditioned 4WD and he also did arrange for ticket to FantSea which he drove us there and home too. He also did our departure airport transfer for us too. We will use him again.

Hidden treasure at the corner of Patong

Was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room - it was huge! Besides the balcony that leads directly to the pool, there was also an indoor area that had a mattress & cushions for us to chill out on. The window that separates the bathtub from the bedroom area was smartly located at the angle where we would soak in the tub & watch tv.
Service was great. Room was made up w/o us having to inform them. Beach towels were provided promptly when asked. The pool was never overcrowded.
Although not right smack in the middle of patong, the hotel was located not very far from all the happenings, esp when we had the motor. The beach was less than 5 min away.
Would definitely be on top of the list when we visit phuket for the next visit.

Lousy Service at end of Patong

I booked a pool access room at Patong Paragon Resort & Spa, which I felt was too expensive considering the lousy service the staff displayed throughout the trip.
Only the doorman gave decent service, while the other staff were sour-faced, sarcastic and even demanding! I stayed at 2 other hotels during my trip and the service from Patong Paragon really paled in comparison.
They must be doing something right in mktg though, cos even though it was low season the hotel was full.
I didn't enjoy my stay here. The TV was also old fashioned with limited channels and the breakfast was lousy.

good hotel with the worst service & staff.

the worst service experience I have felt in my life. the hotel policies are just against the customers. they are not customer friendly at all. they charge every time 1200 bhat, if any person, may be he is my local friend or relative, come to meet me. they charge per instance means if four persons come to see me they will charge 4800 bhat! this is cheating. further i requested them to send a man in my room to help and activate internet in my laptop but they refused to do so and told me to come at reception with my laptop! the staff on securities was mannerless. overall the worst experience I encounterd.
Hotel Feature Tip:
if u want to enjoy the pool only then go to this hotel, otherwise never think even to stay with them.

This hotel is wonderful! The staff is very accommodating. You are greeted with a drink, and a coupon for 1kg of fresh fruit cut up and ready to enjoy while sitting by the pool! Swim up bar is nice. Get a pool side room.... it is wonderful to open the patio door of your room and walk into the pool.The bathroom is beautiful complete with a giant soaker tub and separate shower stall. The hotel is located about a block away from the beach and on a street that has ample selection of restaurants. It's a short "tuk tuk" ride away from the nightlife which is nice as well. Perfect... and I would not change a thing.

collect the fresh fruit and bring it back to your room to enjoy after a long day of shopping!
