Excellent location
The Patong Resort is in a very good location with three security controlled entrances. One entrance takes you to Bangla Road (Walking St,)about 20 metres, which is very handy at night. Another takes you directly to the beach, about 50 metres, and the other to Jungceylon Shopping Centre, about 100 metres.
Friendly staff. Very clean.

We had a very pleasant time at the Patong Resort. Staff very friendly and helpful (especially Jantra at the pool). Great location, close to all action and nightlife, but very quiet once in hotel complex. Breakfast ok.
Nightlife Tip:
Bars at Bangla Rd a short walk away. Margarita bar at the top of Bangla Rd is very good. They have a live band every night (non stop. Good beer towers too!

First trip to Phuket. The hotel is centrally located with 3 exits that take you to beach / Banga-La Road and O-Top market.
The rooms we stayed in were in need of refurbishment, saying that they were still comfortable and clean. We went with older children that stayed in another room (we were unable to get adjoining rooms)The supplied buffet breakfast was of a good quality and service overall was good.
Our room was located in a wing with a tailor shop near the stair well. The Tailor would continually annoy anyone walking past to buy a suit. You have enough of this harassment on the street and shouldn't have to put up with it inside the hotel complex.
The hotel has easy access to the main areas of Patong. We did plenty of shopping and took a few tours which were fantastic.

Patong Resort
The Patong was clean. The rooms were a reasonable size and comfortable. The staff were very couteous particularly around the pool where we spent a lot of time.

For the price this was a very good hotel. It was quiet despite its central location. Pool staff were polite and attentive. Arrival and Departure as well as everything in between was efficient and on time. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The range of Breakfast items was very good. Would definitely stay here again if I returned to Phuket.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Barter with the local service providers on the street for sightseeing. The quoted cost will almost always be reduced. Even cheaper if you do more than one tour at the same place. Never use the Hotel. Most cab drivers know the cheapest rates. If you pay a cabbie a little more, they will forego all the usual but unneccesary visits to jewelry shops etc.

We (2 adults, 12 year daughter) stayed here a total of 4 nights, sandwiched around our trip to Phi Phi. We have stayed here in the past and really like the location and price. This time, I booked on line and wanted to upgrade from a standard room to a deluxe. But they wanted to overcharge me for the change so we were stuck in a somewhat small, but okay room.

the location is sensational having stayed here four times now and will still return. staff are very friendly and happy to help. tip pay the extra for the deluxe room in first wing well worth the upgrade.the two pools are always clean. only one hundred metre walk to the beach and to bangla road. great value for money.
Nightlife Tip:
all of the nightclubs are within 200 metres.

Fantastic location and 5 minutes walk to the beach. Try the "Original One" massage, fantastic and cheap. It's on the lane from hotel to the beach. Hotel staff were friendly and speak ok English. Do not eat at the seafood restaurants, very costly!

Wow our 2 week stay in Patong
The cocktails were awesome, especially by the pool. It was great to have the internet and computers handy in the foyer, it meant the daughter could go on when she wanted and still be close and safe.

Our arrival was a bit upsetting as reception said we were the 1st guest in the newly renovated resort rooms by the pool. We moved in and were not happy as no coffee/tea amenities, no hairdryer, and we had to pay extra for the safe. We immediately took an upgrade to Deluxe but at an extra cost of course. The deluxe put us in the main hotel on the 6th floor and the room was great, roomy and clean and tidy. We had 2 pools to choose from and great poolside service for cocktails and snacks. The hotel was in the best spot in Phuket. Could not have been in a better spot. Will stay there again but prebook the Deluxe room. Some staff were very pleasant but others not, I think the language barrier made that difficult.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Dont book your attractions until you get there and book at the booths in the street including your taxi transfers. We paid so much less on the street than we would have in Aussie. Do not purchase on the way from the Airport as the taxi will conveniently stop at an agency. Give the business to the people in the street markets with the little travel booths. Use a regular if you can. Price a little then choose who to book with.
