Big, Bold and Brassy!

we had a deluxe pool view room which was comfortable but also aging. the air conditioning didn't respond to the thermostat and operated on "cold" all of the time which resulted in us freezing during the night.
the hotel has excellent facilities but is too large and does not cater sufficiently for the guests.
the pool area is large but guests reserve the pool chairs from 6.00am which results in most guests not being able to find a chair near the pool.
the buffet breakfast is extensive but is very overcrowded.
the check-in staff were very impersonal which i guess comes from working in a large complex.
i would prefer to stay in a smaller hotel the can service its patron's needs to a higher degree.

Stay was comfortable but beds a bit hard. Perhaps ask for a soft top. Pool was good but very hard to get a deck chair as people reserved them and headed off for a shopping trip! Lots of food for breakfast with a good variety
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
go to similan island for a snorkel and a must see id the john gray sea canoe trip to pha nang bay

the service is so thoughtful. prices are reasonbale with good quality. location is good as not far from the center, but not very close to noise area.

Well enjoyed. The location was fantastic. Recommendation: ice trays for the fruit to sit on during breakfast so it is more refreshing! Unfortunately quite a hard mattress which took some geting used to....
Restaurant Tip:
Had some spectacular meals at the Grace Bar and Grill.

My first overseas hotel experience - it was great

It's a real shame that I only had one night to spend in Phuket Graceland Resort and Spa.
Upon arrival, I was greeted with many smiling faces and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The room was excellent, spacious and clean. It had a great bathroom with a separate bath and shower and all the little extras you need when travelling.
I was surprised at how cheap the room service was. I didn't get to order until after midnight but was soon delivered a delicious soup and main meal for less than I'd pay back home.
Breakfast was brilliant. I loved the egg bar, the noodle soup prepared in front of you, all the usuals such as bacon & eggs plus lots more. A great array of fruits. I didn't make it to the pastries bar but managed to get to the crepe & waffle bar for some yummy crepes with chocolate and strawberry sauces.
The pools and gardens were amazing and straight across the road were endless massage and cocktail stands.
I look forward to taking my wife with me next time for many more nights.
My only small criticisms was that there was no iron & ironing board in the room and the bed was a little firm.

Great Hotel in the Right Spot of Patong

Really enjoyed my stay, I have stayed in many Hotels in Patong, but Graceland was by far my best experience to date. i would recommend it to everybody.
Restaurant Tip:
Do not be scared of the restaurants out the front of the Graceland Hotel on the street, Good food at a great price... I have taken many people since my stay and everybody loves it..

Agoda's booking price was very competitive compared to Direct dealing with Hotel.Checking in was absolutely no problem. Staff's english language needs improvement keeping in view of the fact that majority of the Guests were English speaking.A little more professionalism is required as I particularly needed an Information on 27.10.11 Night and 28.10.11 Morning whether Flights in & out of Bangkok International Suvarnabhumiairport was running properly or not in view of Flood situation in Bangkok and my next destination were Pattaya and Bangkok. I was never supplied this information and as a result I didnt dare to travel to Bangkok and instead I booked fresh ticket via KLM which costs me a fortune and together the loss was Rupees 1.4 lacs.
Other than this the rest was excellent.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
James Bond and Phi Phi Islands
and Fantasea show.

This hotel is set in a fabulous location, close to the beach with a short walk or very cheap taxi ride to market stalls along beach road. staff were extremely helpful in providing great rooms wittin beautiful garden setting just a hop skip and a jump from the wonderful pool. as i had my 6 year old daughter with me i took full advantage of the babysitting service so my husband and i could have a child free night out. this would definatly be a hotel i would stay at again!
