Hotel requires some renovation, service can be improved. We had no wardrobes space, TV an old fashion, no DVD player. Paid for WI FI, wasn’t able to use – no network supply, required several approach to get money refund.

You really need to up grade internet reception not very goo. I also stayed for 9 nights amd I inquired about checking out at 8.00pm the evening of the 20th as I had a midnight flight I was quoted a rediculous amount to stay until that time, so I checked out your usual time I do thin you should consider your guests circumstances whne it comes to there flight details. other then that all was quite pleasant

i would recommend this hotel to everyone. the room was large and very nice, the garden view from our balcony was wonderfully secluded. we had privacy and not far from the beach and patong action.
please sign up for the free breakfast, the food was wonderful with a lot of choices for a lot of nationalities. i have vacationed in phuket a few times and the phuket graceland resort and spa is the best.
Travel tip:
Start your swimming or sunning early or there will not be a chair for you at any of the pools.

The delux suit was a little too small for 3 adults so we upgraded to the mini
Suit. Would have been cheaper if we booked through agoda as those prices were cheaper
Than upgrading when we arrived at the front desk. The food was unbelievable and cheap.
Get the buffet breakfast and buffet dinner. They also put on a cocktail party free for their guests. Make
Sure you go. They are very very generous with the alcohol and again the food was amazing.
Lots of European tourists but mostly Australian tourists staying at the resort. Book the bigger rooms. They are much more spacious and enjoyable
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go to fantasea and make sure you do the islands by speed boat. We took a bigger boat and spent most of the time on the water instead of on the islands

Nice hotel but need improvement

so, after reading many mixed reviews about graceland resort, we decided to take the gamble as we got a fantastic deal through our travel agent.
myself and a friend had a fantastic time! i'm not sure why so many people have such bad things to say about this resort, as we only found a couple of minor issues and that hardly affected our stay at all. it is what you make it!
we were greeted at the airport by a private car transfer and were taken to our hotel - we laughed on our way to the resort as the driver was a massive lead foot! welcome to thailand!
we got to graceland on evening and went straight to reception. we checked in with no problems - yes the staff may not have a massive english vocabulary but seriously c'mon! we are in thailand what do u expect when you are in a completely different country. the reception staff were fine - only limited slightly by the language barrier.
the bell staff took our bags and showed us to our room and yes they wait around for a tip (you need to remember - tips are what they live for, it is customary to tip them - even if just a small amount of baht), they thanked us and left.
we stayed in a pool deluxe room we had a palm tree blocking part of our view, but that just made it slightly private and we could still see the pool and the swim up pool bar. the room was great - we didnt spend a great deal in it anyway as we were out exploring!
the resort is about a 10 minute walk to bangla road and jungceylon shopping centre, close enough but yet far enough away from the noise. it is a baht trip to bangla road make sure you dont pay more. plenty of tuk tuks outside the front of the resort.

It was disappointing that check in to the hotel took very long time, we were tired and had to wait in lobby for 1 hour. Rest of servicing staff top notch!
The rooms allocated to us were situated in the new - uncompleted building with constant building constructions going on at Graceland and the next door.
The rooms were very nice, but the construction noise has taken the holidays spirit away.
When we've reproached reception and asked for room change, the offered room for relocation was not the de-lux standard and full of cigaret smell.

we had a deluxe pool view room which was comfortable but also aging. the air conditioning didn't respond to the thermostat and operated on "cold" all of the time which resulted in us freezing during the night.
the hotel has excellent facilities but is too large and does not cater sufficiently for the guests.
the pool area is large but guests reserve the pool chairs from 6.00am which results in most guests not being able to find a chair near the pool.
the buffet breakfast is extensive but is very overcrowded.
the check-in staff were very impersonal which i guess comes from working in a large complex.
i would prefer to stay in a smaller hotel the can service its patron's needs to a higher degree.
