Great Location but poor sound isolation

Pier 42 Boutique resort is located near the chalong pier where is used for travelling to the main islands such as Racha island, so it is a good location for the divers and guests who will travel to the island at next morning.
The room is simple and clean but the sound isolation between floor is poor, so keep slow and silent in any movement when you stay in the upper floor.

Fine for at stop over to catch the ferry

we just has a single layover in chalong on our way from phuket airport to koh ngai. we arrived late in the evening and our ferry was early in the morning so we just needed a simple place to crash. pier 42 was absolutely perfect for this. kind service and great accomodation for the price.
chalong is a quite charmless harbor town with a main road full of more or less seedy bars. it looked quite harmless in daylight but when i went out after dark to buy some supplies at the 7-11 across the street the main road had turned in to a red light district. when my husband went out alone to buy water he was attacked by girls on the lookout for single, white male tourists. just the kind of place you want to avoid in thailand.
that said, the hotel is a true gem for tourists catching the ferries to the islands. a clean and quiet oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle. a nice, tranquil courtyard with tropical plants. clean and no nonsense rooms. the restaurant serves great thai dishes and a simple breakfast. absolutely the best place to stay in chalong and a great place to rest before continuing the journey.

The hotel is literally on the harbor. You can walk to Tigerline Ferries in five minutes.

It was a good stay, rooms well kept, good location near the pier. Beds are hard. Location is not near any beaches... it's a 400 Baht/15 minute cab ride to any Kata/Karon beaches. The breakfast and food are quite good and reasonable, and the spa services we found to be very good and clean. Tic, the spa manager was great.
The only other concern was that it's on a street full of bars/massage places that looked a bit seedy. But there is a great restaurant just a few steps away called Eau Nang.

我們是坐亞航香港直飛過來的，到已經是半夜，打算第二天去The Racha，所以本來就打算找個小酒店過一晚。酒店就在Racha的接待處旁邊，很方便。酒店很小，但佈置很有本地特色，房間也很乾淨。第二天的早餐只有麵包和煎蛋，外加果汁和牛奶自助，不豐富也足夠了，餐廳很有本土家庭氣氛。酒店外只有幾間小酒吧和Seven，沒什麼好逛的。

由于第二天去皇帝岛而且又是晚上到的航班所以选择这家酒店，离查龙码头只有1分钟的路程，酒店的早餐东西不多但口味和服务水平都非常不错，而且酒店的对面就是7-11便利店一般性的购物非常之方便，房间里面的设施一般但作为过渡酒店已经非常的不错了连游泳池都有了！但如果在巴东海滩游玩的话不建议住这里，要半个多小时的车程！
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
这个酒店只适合过夜第二天一早要去查龙码头的话是不二的选择！

位置便利的小型酒店
位置靠近Chalong Pier，去皇帝岛中转的第一选择

由于到皇帝岛旅游，故选择了靠近码头的pier 42,这样提前一晚至酒店第二天中午正好可以赶快艇，总的来说该有的都有了，房间中规中矩，就是卫生间淋浴容易水溢出至房间，较滑所以洗浴时和洗浴后要当心。酒店大门出去对面就是7-11便利店，准备电话卡买点零食饮料什么的也很方便。
