Great hotel in the middle of nowhere
Nicely presented hotel with friendly staff, great dining area and close to beach
When I booked this it said it was only 6kms from the airport. Possibly true, however the wrong side of the airport so it still took us about 20 minutes to get there. Location is not idea, however the hotel is extremely nice and perfect if you would like to do nothing and see no one for a few days

Peaceful and private
Nice swimming pools!!
An elephant on my bed is so lovely, the hotel provides very food facilities. Staffs are nice and friendly but taste of foods need to be improved and should provide more options on breakfast buffet line. Very nice swimming pools with jacuzzi but no lifeguard. I found 2 millipedes in the bathroom but it's ok that they're not harmful. The hotel located quite far from main raod, it's better to rent a car.

V nice resort but isolated location
V friendly staff , excellent pools .good rooms .great sea front location
My second stay. I liked the resort. The dinner was v nice and we were offered a 50% discount due to sangkoran festival. The breakfast was nice and I like the pools and the sea front .it's great if you lie peace and quiet . No nite life .the negatives are it's isolated location andi still feel the management would do well if they had some sort of shuttle either complimentary or at a reasonable rate going into paging and Phuket, and NOT bill exorbitant rates like 10$ for a 3 km run. ,!!

V nice hotel .but isolated
Lovely large swimming pools & v nice helpful staff
we had a great stay. we loved the pools and were offered a 50percent discount on food .the staff were extremely nice and helpful.since it's isolated , when one thinks of going to visit nearby shops etc , it's difficult to get any taxis !! many hotels have an hourly free shuttle to a nearby shopping area ! may be an idea the management would want to consider.all in all a good hotel and i shall stay there again when in the mai khao area.

Not a good place to stay
This was our last stop before our travel home. Although we got a good rate from Agoda i wouldn't recommend staying here. We had problems from the 1st minute. When we arrived they didnt have a clue we were coming. It took us an hour to check in after a long transfer from Koh samui. They then pressured us into the restaurant to eat as it was shutting and there was nowhere close to eat. We ate there but the food was horrible and there were frogs jumping around the restaurant. We asked for a late check out due to our flight being later! They told us 2pm was the latest. This wasn't really acceptable as we had to sit around the pool waiting. I didn't see why there was a problem when a member of staff had told me it has never been as dead and there was 13 people in total in the whole complex. We went to bed and in the morning woke to the huge building site next door starting their day. Diggers drills etc. My girlfriend wasn't feeling well so i asked for a taxi to the chemist. They sent me in a Piraya resort car and charged me 500bht for a 3 minute journey. Also Ringing the driver telling him to get me back on time or i would be charged an additional 1000bht for the room. All in All its a bad place to stay. Keep away. P.s there is no management structure there atall. No one knows who is in charge and whats goin on!

In the middle of nowhere
We stayed one night in this hotel because it was offering an incredibly low rate and after staying there I would not spend much more to spend an holiday, even if I wanted to. The resort is extremely isolated and its beach, even if uncrowded and nice looking, is not better than anything you can find in Europe (beaches in the Mediterranean islands are often much better). The sea can be dangerous in that area, and it becomes very deep right away. The hotel looks built in a rush: many of the fixtures, even if just built, were in a deplorable state. The room had no safe and cable TV had less than 10 channels in non Thai language and unless you speak a number of European languages you may have only one channel to watch. The only restaurant, on our visit, was empty, but the staff was to busy to chat by the bar to take our order or anything else; this was not too bad since the food was terrible anyway. The hotel has 3 swimming pools, one of which the largest I have seen, but none is very attractive. The large ones runs attached to one of the buildings, so it did not seem possible to add any long chair to the 4 already there; luckily the hotel was empty so we had no problem in finding two chairs for us. I have a hard time finding a reason to stay there other than the its very low rates.

Nice resort grounds but poor customer service
Nice grounds, room was ok, nice bathtub and good water pressure, good selection at the breakfast buffet
nice resort grounds but poor customer service for hotel of this class. this hotel is in a very remote location, far from everything, so unless you enjoy being completely secluded there are definitely better options in phuket.

Nice stay just for one night
Nice Resort in front of the Beach
We booked this hotel because we thought it was close to the airport, but the trip takes quite long and we'd rather visit the City cause there is not much to see in Mahi Kao beach! The resort is ok, nice structure, nice rooms and very comfortable bathroom.

Value for money resort on Mai Khao
value for money
It was the last night before we left Phuket. After staying at Renaissance Phuket Resort and SPA for three nights, the difference is obvious. Generally, it's a ok resort to stay in and got all the facility you could expect for a beach side resort. It's definitely a good place to stay and relax.
