Newish Hotel - Mainly Russian Guests

This is quite a new hotel and is clean and modern as you would expect. Rooms are reasonably large with a nice balcony which in our case overlooked the pool and had a sea view (although the sea is some distance away). The location is a fair walk down to the beach area - a complimentary drop off service to beach area is available but only until 5pm and after that you will need to flag down a tuk tuk which will cost you 200 Thb, the minimum price in Phuket even for a very short distance. So - unless you mind a walk (and it is a little hilly and the road is unlit in places) be prepared to pay out for the tuk tuk prices. The staff were very unhelpful when I asked them to call me a taxi one evening and said they were not really available and to wait by the road for a tuk tuk. This is OK but you may wait 2 minutes or 20 minutes depending on your luck. The hotel itself is quite nice and spacious. Internet room (chargeable) available, but good if you have no lap-top and very nice swimming pool. It seems that the hotel is mainly frequented by Russians and Chinese but this did not really cause us any issues.
Nightlife Tip:
Some nice little bars and restaurants - head around by the Temple area of Karon Beach (just back slightly from the main beach road).

Nice hotel with good rooms. Quiet area

Was "upgraded" to pool access room. Had asked for high floor to get good sea view but ended up on low floor with almost no sea view. The pool access was very nice though so ended up being happy with it. Very good room with nice big bathroom. Breakfast is fine here. A lot to choose from. Should be something for every one. Not much sea view. Hard to get a smile out of some of the receptionist but there was also smiling staff. Some seemed like they were tired of guests. Expensive internet. Very few and strange choice of TV channels. Was pretty clear that main customers are Russians and Koreans. Placed in quiet area of Karon. A bit far away from beach but had free shuttle service to beach.
