Great Service and Good Location

cleaniness: hotel was kept very clean in most areas except for a few occasions when the cleaning crew would leave their carts in random locations. the rooms themselves were clean. we had a bit of a mess after coming back from the beach and upon request room service was more than happy to promptly clean it for us.
service: as i understood the manager of the hotel has considerable experience and came recommended from a friend of mine who is a general manager of another local hotel. front desk was friendly and helpful.
location: 5 minutes walk from patong beach. 5 minutes from bangla road. pretty much in the middle of everything but because of its design you dont hear alot of noise from neighbors or partying crews.

the hotel was picked as it offered great value given its location at patong. hotel proved to be as it is pictured on the website (no false advertising here) and i was generally very satisfied with everything provided. as the hotel was recently renovated, everything was new - the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, the toilet was in good condition. the staff were helpful, friendly and accomodating - no complaints there either. there are good amenities nearby - decent massage place, great cafe/restaurant. highly recommended!

First time we visited Thailand and stay at this hotel. Nice place, good location and services.
The Breakfast also nice. Near to the beach by walking only 5 minutes, and night market. So we are pleasure with this hotel.

the second floor rooms are much better than the first floor rooms. we lived there for twice. very good location. very good breakfast. but it's not so good the pool will not be allowed to use after 7pm.

Lovely hotel, super location and great breakfast.
2 minute walk to patong beach and nightlife!

arrived at the hotel and given upgraded room which was a great bonus. the room was clean, spacious with a great big balcony. free minibar with soft drinks and beer was replenished daily. if you are planning on exploring phuket or enjoying the nightlife this hotel is ideal. despite being close to patong this hotel is very quite and peaceful. lovely pool with plenty of sunbeds and pool bar. for the price, this hotel is hard to beat. had a wonderful stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
go exploring on the day trips. white water rafting, elephant trekking, quad bikes, lunch, monkey cave and swimming in waterfall all for around. a fantastic day out.

Slightly Small room
The location was great and it had complete service such as day tour packages and booking of airport transfer (a little more expensive though).

We booked a deluxe room but I still find it rather small and not really worth the upgrade. Maybe it was for a better view. The breakfast tasted slightly above average with a normal variety. We were there for 4 nights and we realized the housekeeping was a little lazy!
But it was still worth the affordable price and convenient location!!

About 200m walk to beach and bangla road. Really value for money. Receptionist was polite and helpful expect the room service opearator was not helpful and polite at all.

Nice hotel in the back streets close to Bangla Rd

We had a great time at R Mar, the staff were lovely and the hotel just as nice. The rooms were large and had nice beds and a balcony. The breakfast was a fresh and tasty buffet, the omelette chef was a master chef! The pool was nice with palm trees, umbrellas and a water feature, very relaxing. The hotel was about 100m walk to the beach and Bangla Rd (the main party area) as well as a lot of shops near by. Great hotel, would stay there again!
Shopping Tip:
Go to the "I Love Phuket" shops around town to buy anything you want. Don't buy anything until you have seen this shop (most things are 100 Baht and it is WAY cheaper than other shops)

Fantastic location, good value for money

Service with a smile, accomodating to guests needs. We arrived early and staff were helpful with storing our bags and early check in at no extra fee. Breakfasts were good, but did not try the hotel food. The travel operator ion the hotel, Ti , went the extra mile to help plan our stay and get us the best deals. Overall, an excellent hotel.
