Great hotel, quiet scenic location

Spacious very well appointed room, great view of the bay. The pools are great, the kids club was quiet when we were there but our child still had a great time (6 yr old) and let the parents get away and explore on their own at times! Panwa beach is well out of town and a fairly quiet location, so depends on what you want - if you want chaos and busy busy and don't have young kids then you might enjoy Patong more :) In any case, there are hotel shuttle busses and the usual alternatives to Phuket Town and Central Festival if you do want to get around. For us, enough to say that no-one wanted to go home :)
Restaurant Tip:
There isn't much local business right outside the hotel - a couple of small restaurants and a mini-mart and a couple of others - But you don't have to go far to eat local food - about 1km south starting at the Naval base, there is a long boardwalk along the ocean and plenty of good places to eat that are reasonably priced

Quiet location and great staff. Beautiful pools and lots of loungers. Enjoyed the views and the grounds.
Cape Panwa is 10 or 15 minutes south of Phuket, but quiet and peaceful.
Restaurant Tip:
Not much for shopping or restaurants in Panwa, but the Radisson restaurants are pretty fine and lots of seating with great views of the bay.

Beautiful, Comfortable, and a true getaway

we selected this hotel during our 10 day visit of singapore and phuket celebrating our 3 year anniversary. we were very impressed by the secluded location of the hotel. the layout and design of the resort was just perfect for the short 2 days we spent on the eve and day of our anniversary.
however the fact remains and is known that the beach that this hotel lies on was very very far from what we wanted. the water is only visible during the "high tide" which is basically from noon to around 4 pm. before and after this time you will see a terrible view of what looks like a drought. the beach is also not kept well with some debris and garbage always around.
it is a lovely hotel with excellent accommodation and service, but as it is so far from everything and is ideal for a getaway, i recommend that you stay on one of the many many islands instead and enjoy a much better location with a flawless beach.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
cab fare to phuket is about baht for a round trip. cab fare to patong is about 1,400 baht for a round trip. there is a decent priced restaurant right across the street from the resort and taxi stand.

Spotless clean and well equipped hotel

Stayed for two nights in a deluxe seaview room which is very clean and spacious with all the amenities that are expected. The pools are excellent which well compensate for the lack of swimming in the beach facing the hotel. Breakfast is in a very nice restaurant with open view and sea breeze flushing all the time.

Great resort that would deserve a better beach

this was my 3rd stay at the hotel which underlines that i generally like the hotel. rooms are nice with sufficient space on balcony and comfortable sofa to relax there. wooden floors add to the charm and tv-programs plus free wifi are a good standard. most room (except groundfloor) have sea view in my opinion, obviously with pools and villas in front of sea. nature is very well integrated in the concept of the setting.
the hotel has a gym and - what i like in particular - a well functioning dry sauna.
in the years since existence of the hotel (3-4 years my guess) some annex infrastructure (shops, taxis and restaurant) has emgerged just outside the hotel, which is very convenient and saves some money on food and drinks if you like that.
unfortunately, in general the beach on this coast of phuket is not so great (tidal changes). if waves and sandy ground are your thing, you need to choose the west coast. however, the beach area is carefully arranged, it is just nature that denies a better beach experience.

What an absolutely magnificant place to stay the room was great with a gorgeous view. Staff were most helpful. Happy hour by the pool great value.Enough shops across the road to eat and buy necessities and just a short walk to Panwa Beach where there is a great little and cheap restaurant on the corner. The free shuttle bus to Phuket town and Central Shopping Centre was convenient. For a small fee there was a shuttle bus to Patong at night so you could make the most of the night life. Would highly recommend the Radisson Blu to anyone. The buffet breakfast was fantastic value also!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Check out the Veiw Point lookout at Panwa at sunset beautiful and dont have the crowds as it is more a local attraction.
Also if you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy driver who will take you where ever you want to go and explain the local culture ring Sunny on or email him at we used him both trips and he has been great he has good english and will suggest places to see for the new traveller

Nice resort with great pool

We stayed at the Radisson Blu Hotel attending a friends wedding. We were very impressed with the layout of the resort. As expected the wedding was amazing and was conducted beautifully beside the beach.

Excellent place - but beach is not so good

Everything was just fine - nice and quiet. The only disappointment is muddy water - which is not clean everywhere on the east coast of Phuket (i.e. in the bay, not ocean side of the island). Can't swim at all at low tides.
Restaurant Tip:
Although resident restaurants are very good, they are relatively expensive. A short stroll down the road (towards Phuket aquarium) will take you to a local shopping strip with superb restaurants and a local street market.

Lovely hotel

We stayed a very pleasant and relaxing two nights. The sea view room was fantastic. Had a great view of the sea and the horizon. The room had a balcony with a day bed to relax and read a book. The infinity pool had jacuzzi corners that we lazed around the whole day. Kayaking is free during high tide. Definitely recommended place!
