Best hotel for a vacation

Most of things are just fine,nice view,nice room of radisson standard ,nothing particularly special .Nice breakfast ,nice pool ,also the room provide the bed for my little baby with free of charge.But the staff in restaurant always talk or recommend too much.I had two dinners in Azur and she forgot my drink and food both times. But the rest they are nice .

Gorgeous hotel with great staff

The view may be gorgeous but it's the staff here that are the greatest asset. They could not be more helpful. We were travelling with a 12-month-old. The staff whisked him off while we had our meals, cuddling him, talking to him and making him feel so special. When we needed help with anything they were there. They didn't fuss when he made a mess at breakfast.
For us the location was perfect. We did the requisite visit into Patong, but most of our six night stay was spent a long way from the noise and crowds. It was blissfully quiet. That said, there is a (paid) shuttle into Patong and Old Phuket Town if you do want to do some shopping or sightseeing.
There were plenty of little shops outside the resort so you're not compelled to spend your whole time there.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The Phuket aqaurium might not be as big or as glamorous as those in big cities, but for kids it's a great (and inexpensive - 100 baht for foreign adults so about Aus$3.20) way to spend a couple of hours. Make sure you take the nature trail that is at the exit to the aquarium. It leads you to where they do a lot of their conservation work and the kids can see the hatchery etc close up. It's an easy 10 minute walk from the Radisson past some very scenic coastline and a couple of good cafes.

Big rooms but sea is not clean

room is great, big and comfortable, air conditing is very good, however beach and the sea is not clean due to big ships cruising in front of the hotel. price of food and dinner is quite high in hotel, however there are a number of restaurants opposite to the hotel.

Is our first time to phuket so we wasnt too sure where to book. but been told not to go for the usual patong or kamala beach as they got too commercial. so we did a search and found the radisson which had good review and a fairly new hotel. We arrive late as we stated but they were ready for us only took us 15min to check in which was a bonus as we were very tired. The hotel were very good, they give us a decent room and didnt charge us extra for bed (2 adult + 2 child) nor for the breakfast as they normally would charge children over 6 and my daughter was nearly 6(in few days). It was very dark so we couldnt see how was the hotel outside and the view but the room (Deluxe sea view) was pretty big nice size bed for 4 of us with a balcony which had a sofa. When i got up for my usual jog i was very surprised, i can see the private beach and is just a typical resort you would aspect, very nice for the price...just great. Before i got there i already use on line map to mapped out my jogging route and the outdoor view was amazing and i wasn't the only one jogging and also cycling......! now the good points the breakfast was the best so far had everything plus the extra! The swimming pool good size and had a water slide for kids, main pool was very crowded but still very nice and the private beach it was very private and empty and very clean. Also shuttle buses to town and shopping centre but we rented a car to get about, and small shop opposite which was convenient and also many restaurant which we did eat in one and was reasonable price and good local food. . Now the bad points the wifi was very bad it didnt work for the 1st night and the rest of the holiday it was on and off keep breaking up and that is only bad point for the hotel...;)
In general i would recommend this hotel to friends and family and i will definately use it again.!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
1- Phuket aquarium 5 min drive away - cheap entry but not worth it, pretty run down and not kept up to date.
2- phuket Zoo 20 min- very expensive entry and please do not go there very room down and felt very bad for the animals and animals activist would have a field day on this place.
3- Butterfly and insect garden 45 min - very cheap very nice little place but took us ages to find it, kids like it very much.
4-Kathu waterfall 30 min- free it was ok is better during sep and oct as we been told.
5-Centra festiva shopping centre- Depends how much you have in your wallet as you can spent your whole bank balance there ;)
6-Night market 15min- Good food very cheap but anything else was a little bit to expensive.

I like the swimming pool very much which beside the beach , my daughter every morning call me to be swimming pool and don't want to leave

It's really very nice hotel , soft bed , enough big to let our three person be together , my daughter like this hotel very much , special for the swimming pool beside the beach , never want to leave and every morning call me to be there. Next time I will try to book their sea side villa. The dining should have more types , like Chinese good , western food , Thai food etc to meet different person requirement. Anyway , it is really good experience for the hotel and will be Radisson next time.

We went to meet friends who had come to Thailand for a holiday and had already booked the hotel so we didn't have a choice but it was nice. Definently look for hotels offering 50% discount like this one otherwise it is a very expensive hotel but if you plan in advance it should be no problem
Shopping Tip:
The hotel is not near any shopping stores if that's what you want

More quiet location compared to many areas on the Phuket Island. Good location for a relaxing and quiet holiday.

Sunset is on the other side of the island. Beach could be a bit better - rather shallow waters but very safe for children.
Restaurant Tip:
Sawasdee restaurant about 10-15 minutes walking distance - propably the best option in the neighbourhood (value for money).
