This time it is better because the price is more interesting especially long weekend holidays.

Families with young children Australia, April 13, 2013	Good overnight hotel Location to pier for Koh Phi Phi, free wifi, clean 6.7 We stayed at this hotel for 1 night to get the early morning ferry to Koh Phi Phi/Koh Lanta. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the pier. We arrived late at night and left early in the morning, so I can't comment too much on the hotel. The room was clean and a nice size. The bed was comfortable. There were a few English TV stations and free wifi in the rooms. The staff were friendly and there is a minimart attached to the front of the hotel. I don't think I would stay here for a beach holiday, but it was good for an overnight stay.

Nearby good restaurants with real Thai food, generally for 1-2 euros per person. Of course top restaurants for much higher value, nearby Chalong Pier to go for diving etc watersports. Car and motorbike rentals nearby, if like to go to tourist center Kata, KAron or Patong it is just 7-15 minutes drive away. Here in Chalong not so crowded by tourists, feel much better. Nice beaches ca 5 minutes drive away like Nai Harn beach, Ao Sane, Nui beach etc. Also nice visit to Big Buddha, only 5 minutes drive away with exellent views. And if local food is not your favourite it is easy to find all europen etc food in most restoaurants and in hotelhouse is a shop too with all food, beverages, alcohol etc. Nice pool at hotel, fit center, wifi. Shopping Tip: Night market near Phuket town at weekends, also Central festival and Temple markets.

Clean, big rooms, good TV channels, wifi. 4.3 The hotel is clean and that's just about the only good thing! I had planned to stay for three nights but I left after the first night as I was surprised when I found out there was nowhere I uld eat within the hotel! As no restaurant, no room service! It was horrible! My stayed there with my parents who are both diabetic and they were starving until we checked out! Also, it's quite a small hotel not as pretty as advertised! Pool is very small.

Stuff work very fast if you need something. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Near is Chalong harbor from where you can go on other islands

Couples United Kingdom, February 16, 2013	Lovely hotel until the end Great Room, easy work to the pier, lots of lovely restaurants nearby 5.7 Arrived at the hotel after a prearranged transfer. They charge 300 baht more than what the taxi costs to cover the waiting time that the driver endures. I personally have no issue with that at all. Hotel was nice, clean and the staff were very helpful to begin. Room was large and with a balcony. Not much of a view but still nicer than a brick wall. Room had everything you would need. Bed, kettle, table and so on. As good a hotel room that I have booked anywhere. The pool was nice. In the sun nearly all day and very clean too. The loungers are a bit worn out but again no major complaints. The hotel is about a 20 min walk from Chalong pier. Loads of restaurants there and about a 20 min walk to the nearby Tescos. The restaurant in the hotel is currently closed. They do provide a list of places to go and eat. Some are good and the rest are very expensive western style restaurants. We didnt bother with many and instead opted to explore the local culinary delights. The hotel is on a main road, but unless you stay in a resort, the majority of the hotels nearby are so also. This isnt an issue for my wife and I as we have lived in London and traveled to places like India, where ultimately the traffic is much much worse. For families though... could be tricky. We order a transfer back to the airport which was 800 baht. At check out, for the first time anywhere in Asia, in fdact anywhere in the world, they had to check our room before we could leave. Literally go through the room and look for anything that could have been damaged or stolen. My wife and I left some shoes behind in the bin, as they were awful holiday shoes, evidentially my wife's were left in the bin but mine could be sold, so they brought them down to the lobby. The same with two glasses. It felt like they were trying to see what they could and couldn't sell on. We were going to leave the chambermaid a tip, but after seeing this I would imagine that she would never see the tip. It was awful. Restaurant Tip: The Fountain nearby is an amazingly tasty family ran restaurant. Why it wasn't on the hotels recommended list is beyond me.

It was down the road from many restaurants, and bars and massage areas. a 7/11 is right underneath so convenient too. The rrom is lovely and spacous and clean. Great gym and nice pool area although almost all of the lounges around it were broken. I would stay here again . The reaturant was closed for the month during our stay

We did have a power cut for approximately three hours. The building was above a supermarket which was handy and we could make tea coffee and had a fridge. Difficulties withthe huge roundabout locally which was gridlocked with traffic with frequent ambulances sirens and accidents particularly on the weekend. Not far from Chalong Pier which once there was pleasant. Overlooking a local school but no views of the beach.
