Great Service but No beach around it

I arrived at this hotel in the middle of the night.
But when I opened the door of our room, I found it's not a Deluxe room...But they helped to change our room on the next day.
And the thing impressed my most is their service.
I booked a one-day trip on Racha island online. But when no car came to pick up us at the scheduled time. I tried to contact the tour agent. But there's no response from the cell phone. When I was almost crazy, it's the staff of the hotel helped me to get the contact of the tour agent. I really appreciated their assistance!
Shopping Tip:
There's a Big one in the front of the hotel. Cheap price with snacks~~

No beach near by , you may need to transport ( ie. scooter) , nice pool area , gym is a little lame and dirty . Rooms are on the small side but well appointed .

Bad location, unfriendly and misinform staff

This place was too expensive and in a poor location. I stayed on the 4th floor and my sliding doors didn't lock. My safe was broken and the staff didn't send anyone to get it fixed, despite me requesting this twice. The staff know nothing about the area and couldn't even tell me where to hire a motorbike. I walked out onto the street and there was about 4 places within 100m to hire a motorbike.
I was planning on staying for 2 weeks longer and when I asked how much it would be I was told 700 baht. I thought that was reasonable considering the hotel wasn't fully booked at the time and my stay was quite long. When I came back later to pay, another staff member told me that the room was actually 1500 baht (way too expensive for what it was) and that if I wasn't willing to pay that much I would have to check out but pay for that night because it was after the normal checkout time. I told them I would be leaving and I definitely won't be paying the extra 1500. I said that I will check out when I am ready, and after I have found a new hotel. Within 5 minutes the staff were knocking on my door telling me that I couldn't have a shower and I had to leave because the cleaners wanted to come in. Essentially I was rushed out the door.
All in all it was a disappointing, and later a frustrating experience. I would not recommend anyone staying here unless they are charging about 700 per night, and even then you don't really know what the 'real' price will be.

For the price you can't go wrong.
The rooms are new and clean, the bathroom is quite good.
Located on a main road but set back so is quite quiet.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
This place is in the Chalong area so you will need some form of transport to get around even if is too the nearest beach

very good basic hotel - clean rooms, everything works, nice staff and 7-11 next to hotel
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
short distance to chalong harbour if you like to visit islands daily and don't want to waste your holiday time in traffic jam! nice local food restaurants near by which means eating out is really cheap :)
and if you are looking for nice cup of coffee - chalong harbour pier42 is the place for latte or espresso

I stayed there for my diving trip, so all I wanted was clean and close place to the diving center.
It was newly renovated so bright, big and clean room with good staffs and close enough to the diving center. I really didnt have time to check on other facilities but I would say it was good hotel for the very reasonable price.
Travel tip:
not many rest around the hotel, but you can find several on the way to the beach.
