Helpful staff. Good location. Nice breakfast.

Slightly tired.

Pleasant and comfortable 2 night stay

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We booked a boat trip to Phi Phi to depart the next day (which was the only day we had spare) The weather the following day was very stormy and not suitable for a boat trip. The boat company said their policy was to refund 50% of the ticket price (3000 bht) although they were prepared to change the date of the trip, which we could not do. Someone else at the port was also trying to negotiate a refund for the same reason. Best to book on the day of departure so you know what the weather conditions are like.

Big room and friendly staffs.

I just couldn't find any significant weakness.

My husband and I stayed here only one night for transmission to the port. We are very satisfied with the comfortable room and friendly staffs. The price is very good. There are many restaurants, souvenir shops and a local market nearby. The location is extremely good. It's convenient to go to the port, which is the purpose we chose this hotel, but finally we found it's also very easy to take the free bus from the hotel to get to the Central Festival Phuket.

Shopping Tip : There are free bus from the hotel to get to the Central Festival Phuket.

close to the jetty, nice breakfast, quite, nice rooms, clean

Phuket town is not the nicest place to stay, but if you want to go to the other islands, it's a great location since it's close to the jetty!

We only spent one night there after we arrived in Phuket. We planned to go to Ko Phi Phi early the next morning, so we were looking for a decent and quiet hotel to recover from the flight and a short distance to the jetty (Rassada pier). These needs were completely satisfied. For this price, we expected a lot lower quality, but the hotel deserved at least 3 stars even by Western standards. The breakfast was pretty good!

Good location and friendly service. 2 minutes walk to noodle stalls and 7 eleven for supper and purchase of essentials.

Parking facilities when Hotel caters to wedding dinners. Could not get a car park for 3 of the 4 nights stay.

The Royal Phuket City Hotel was selected because of my work at Boat Lagoon. It is only a 15 to 20 minute drive away. I previously stayed there and was charged a night. Booking With Agoda for 2 rooms, I only paid for the 4 nights stay.- A much cheaper rate.

Restaurant Tip : There is an Abalone farm about 15 minutes drive from the hotel that serves excellent food.

Good location, nice rooms and service. Ideal if you are arriving later in day mainly to connect to boats to Koh Phi Phi and other islands. It's near the dock (though not walking distance). A business hotel in the center of Phuket town.

It's aim is business. While it has some advantages that will benefit tourist including all night room service, it isn't really in the high tourist area or near a beach

It's a reasonable choice for people arriving too late in the day to get the shuttles to the other islands (Koh Phi Phi). Not far from the dock (though not walking distance), but with enough facilities and nearby restaurants nearby to serve almost any needs. It's aimed at business people, but has enough tourist facilities to be a perfect choice as long as you arent looking for a beach

Location good for 1 night Near to Ferry Pier Nice rooms Nice Pool

Internet expensive

We were transiting for one night in Phuket on our way to PhiPhi Island and wanted a central hotel with easy access to Ferry Pier. Royal Phuket was a very pleasant surprise. Nice large rooms with everything you need. Good breakfast. Super location near to a market where we could fit in a bit of shopping. Very helful friendly staff.

Reasonable price Nice view Good location Good gym

A bit old

We stayed here because it was the peak season and no rooms were available in Paton area. The price for Poyal Phuket City Hotel is reasonable, compared to the price of hotels in the beach area. Although the hotel is a bit old, the location is nice (ceter of Phuket City) and there are many restaurants nearby. The view from the restaurant (for breakfast) is nice (You can see the ocean). However, Phuket city itself is nearly dead. There is nothing to see in this city. If you go out during nighttime, unlike Patong, it is difficult to catch a cab within the city because the city is made for locals.

Gym. In general good medium class hotel, well run and managed.

Lack of wi-fi connection with-in the room, for a traveler in days business world this is a must.

this hotel is value for money, the amenities and facilities are up to par, the only draw back I found was communication with the front desk staff. Whilst I appreciate that english is not their mother tongue, I did have difficulty in understanding some of the staff, notwithstanding this, the front desk staff were very courteous, friendly and very helpful.

Central, wifi inside room at a reasonable price.

Old, insmoked, bad air inside room, feels kind of wet in a way. The bathroom has cockroaches, the bathroom has been leak, not very healthy place to stay. The information in the room was confusing.

Old, insmoked, bad air inside room, feels kind of wet in a way. Would not stay there again. The bathroom has cockroaches, the bathroom has had a leak, didn´t look prytty, not very healthy place to stay. Breakfast is ok, the cafe downstairs nice. Friendly staff. Improve the information folder in the room.

Shopping Tip : Robinson shopping center and Expo market is just around the corner.

No taxi is needed to go to Royal Phuket City Hotel from the bus terminal in the town. So you don’t have to feel bad by being cheated by a bad taxi driver. The hotel is relatively big in the town and clean inside. My room was a corner room and had a nice view from the window. Coffee Max was located at a 7-8 minutes distance and a free Internet access was available over a nice cup of coffee. (In my case, my laptop didn’t work.)

The breakfast was served on the highest floor and the food was very good but the windows were not cleaned from outside, which was damaging the view a little bit. It takes about 40 minutes to go to the Patong Beach by Song Taew pickup truck bus from Phuket Town. If you are a beach-lover, it may be a time-consuming practice.

There is an airport bus from the bus terminal near this hotel, and it is cheap but it is slower than a taxi. One bus every one or two hours and not so many. Please check the time table.

Nightlife Tip : The Patong Beach is like the famous beach called Pattaya with full of shops and entertainment places, and the ocean seemed much more beautiful here because of less population and Andaman Sea. I tried Thai body massage, and it was excellent. Sea food smelled delicious when I was walking along the road near the beach. My suggestion is to stay one night in the town and more nights near the beach.

The Royal Phuket City is a very comfortable hotel. Good size, well appointed room and bathroom. Friendly, helpful staff, with a good command of English. The breakfast buffet has a great choice to suit all tastes. I have stayed here before and will do again. The 154 coffee shop on the ground floor is also very good.
