Nicest hotel in town. Great views from the breakfast restaurant. Hotel would only arrange extremely expensive taxis for transportation to the airport. The hotel was very clean and centrally located. The view from the breakfast restaurant was one of the best views in the city and we were actually surprised that they didn't have a fancier restaurant there. The pool was clean and offered a quiet place to relax. The gym was outstanding - including aerobics and yoga classes if you are interested. The Atrium Bar was a little pricey for Phuket but otherwise the hotel was a great place to stay if you are in Phuket Town.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Great location when staying for the annual vegetarian festival.

Rooms, Service, Cafe 154, Breakfast, None were happy with the stay we have stayed in Phuket many times, this was far the most relaxing stay the rooms were great large and serviced well the views were to die for,we looked forward to breafast in the morning the variaty of hot food and pastries were fresh every morning, great staff very helpful
look forward to staying there again on the next trip

We had one king bed and it was so huge! Gym has quite many equipment and pool is just above it. Great service. If you go to Phi Phi, you can buy a ticket with very reasonable price including a ride from the hotel to the pier and from the pier in Phi Phi to your hotel. Restaurant Tip : Across the street from the hotel, there is a good restaurant. Worth the shot.

Location, price, staff performance, easy check-in. Breakfast buffet.
Transfer to jetty was NOT included in the price. We decided to stay at the Royal Phuket Hotel since we needed a place to stay before going to the jetty early next morning.
We were surprised at the size and high standard of the hotel.
The room was nice and clean and had everything and more of what you could expect for the decent price of the hotel.
The staff was friendly and helpful (as always in Thailand) and it was no problem to reserve a transport to the jetty early the next morning. I would like to inform that the transfer was not included in the price. Transfer to the jetty is 200 Baht which is still a decent price, but should be considered as well.
Nightlife Tip : There is no action at night in Phuket City so stay in the hotel and enjoy their live music instead of wasting your time trying to find something better.

The receptionists were very helpful and pleasant; Good central location (but then, Phuket town is a small place); Room is clean and pleasant. TV channels adequate (with CNN, CNBC and CCTV4). Amenities such as toothpaste, toothbrush, shavers not provided; There is no reasonably priced Thai-style massage available in the hotel. My stay at this hotel was pleasant. Worth visiting are: (1)Robinson department store which is within walking distance. (2)An air-conditioned market place selling mostly inexpensive apparels within 200 metres of the hotel. (3)Central Festival (a large shopping mall) where Central Department store is the anchor tenant. Jim Thomson is also there. Free transport to Central Festival is provided for hotel guests. In summary, you should not stay in Phuket town for more than 1 or 2 days since most of the action is at Patong.
Shopping Tip : Do visit the air-conditioned apparel market place near the hotel.

Location, Service, Quality/Price, Cleanliness, Privacy, Wonderful value Phone in the room did not work for outside lines Found this hotel by recommendation and booked it on Agoda at unbelievable low price. Very clean and well run hotel with with a great pool internet access and very cheap restaurant and bar. All the staff were extremely helpfull with great budget minded advice for an unforgetable and exciting trip. Karon Beach is 2 minutes walk away with towels provided by the hotel. Plenty of shopping and anything else you desire for families and singles all around the hotel. Went to Patong for 2 hours was glad to get back to Karon. Kata Beach is a 40 minute stroll up the street. Both Karon and Kata beaches were excellent for swimming surfing and relaxing. Had a great time and spent very little on food, great shopping is available. Don't miss this place is a wonderful find.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : easy access by bus to any part of the island. Food at any place was great and very clean and fresh.

Very close to the pier - to go to Phi Phi Island Not near any great beaches We chose this hotel because of its close position to Phuket pier. We only spent the night when arriving from the airport. This is a lovely hotel with great staff and great Thai food. Lovely view over Phuket town.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Boat trasfers to Phi Phi will pick you up from the hotel at no extra charge.

clean, helpful, sorted boat for us whole of phuket town is a dump When we got to the hotel it was a complete god send, compared to the rest of the place it was like a different world. The porter helped us book a boat which was perfect, we didnt have to leave the hotel like we thought we would have to we woke in the morning and had a ticket, got a cab which was included and was on the boat within less than an hour, thats what I call great service.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We booked a boat trip to Phi Phi to depart the next day (which was the only day we had spare) The weather the following day was very stormy and not suitable for a boat trip. The boat company said their policy was to refund 50% of the ticket price (3000 bht) although they were prepared to change the date of the trip, which we could not do. Someone else at the port was also trying to negotiate a refund for the same reason. Best to book on the day of departure so you know what the weather conditions are like.

Big room and friendly staffs. I just couldn't find any significant weakness. My husband and I stayed here only one night for transmission to the port. We are very satisfied with the comfortable room and friendly staffs. The price is very good. There are many restaurants, souvenir shops and a local market nearby. The location is extremely good. It's convenient to go to the port, which is the purpose we chose this hotel, but finally we found it's also very easy to take the free bus from the hotel to get to the Central Festival Phuket.
Shopping Tip : There are free bus from the hotel to get to the Central Festival Phuket.

close to the jetty, nice breakfast, quite, nice rooms, clean Phuket town is not the nicest place to stay, but if you want to go to the other islands, it's a great location since it's close to the jetty! We only spent one night there after we arrived in Phuket. We planned to go to Ko Phi Phi early the next morning, so we were looking for a decent and quiet hotel to recover from the flight and a short distance to the jetty (Rassada pier). These needs were completely satisfied. For this price, we expected a lot lower quality, but the hotel deserved at least 3 stars even by Western standards. The breakfast was pretty good!

Small rooms, small breakfast This is a good place to stay if you have business to do in the Phuket area. It is quite a drive to the beaches and touristy spots on the island so if you are in Phuket on vacation it may not be the best spot. It is close to the Phuket central mall and other points of interest in old Phuket town if that is what you are looking for.

2 minutes walk to noodle stalls and 7 eleven for supper and purchase of essentials. Parking facilities when Hotel caters to wedding dinners. Could not get a car park for 3 of the 4 nights stay. The Royal Phuket City Hotel was selected because of my work at Boat Lagoon. It is only a 15 to 20 minute drive away. I previously stayed there and was charged a night. Booking With Agoda for 2 rooms, I only paid for the 4 nights stay.- A much cheaper rate.
Restaurant Tip : There is an Abalone farm about 15 minutes drive from the hotel that serves excellent food.

Good location, nice rooms and service. Ideal if you are arriving later in day mainly to connect to boats to Koh Phi Phi and other islands. It's near the dock (though not walking distance). A business hotel in the center of Phuket town. It's aim is business. While it has some advantages that will benefit tourist including all night room service, it isn't really in the high tourist area or near a beach It's a reasonable choice for people arriving too late in the day to get the shuttles to the other islands (Koh Phi Phi). Not far from the dock (though not walking distance), but with enough facilities and nearby restaurants nearby to serve almost any needs. It's aimed at business people, but has enough tourist facilities to be a perfect choice as long as you arent looking for a beach
