Nice hotel a few steps from the beach

This hotel is perfectly located a few steps from both the beach and Soi Bangla - the nightlife capital of the island. Rooms are comfortable and well decorated, and mine had a small balcony that was enveloped in the foliage of a large tree - very nice and green and shady! Everything worked and the breakfast in the attached restaurant was good.

Great Location But Rooms are Okay

It was a pleasant stay. However, the rooms need to improve. Specially the bathroom door, which did not open in a normal way. It had to be pushed on the either side to open it , which was quite weird. Also, the location of a bathroom is right in front of the bed, which was uncomfortable. Overall reception staff is okay. The only thing which was enjoyable and great was the area, the patong beach located right in front of the hotel at 3 minutes walking distance and also the nearby area of the pool. The trees outside were so amazing that it was worth looking outside every morning from the window of my room. And yes, free wifi :-)

Great stay despite disappointing room standards. The ground floor room, has been recently renovated but in no way compete with chain affiliated hotels. Room rate is slightly lower and standards significantly lower. Swimming pool is very small for a resort environment and breakfast is so so. Seafood dinner was good but way overpriced.Will try a different hotel for next visit.
Shopping Tip:
walking street is virtually 300 meters away from the hotel door. Would recommend Jungle Ceylon for serious shopping matters. This being said, Phuket will never compete with Bangkok for shopping. Selections are secondary in Phuket.

Certainly if location is paramount you will stay here across the road from the beach and a short walk to the zoo that is Patong. The room was new and clean, service was excellent and the included breakfast buffet was quality. It seemed quiet here even at the very good pool area even though the teeming streets were just a hop away. This is a bit of an oasis in this wild area with its incessant traffic, non stop night life and pushy hawkers.

I have now stayed at the Safari Beach twice. Both times I found the staff very friendly and helpful. It is also very reasonably priced.
The rooms are very clean, spacious and secure.
The proximity to Bangla Road can be an advantage if you want to take in the action
The bar on the street at the Savoey Seafood restuarant, attached to the hotel, is a great spot to take in the sights over an ice cold beer after a day out.Drop off the any purchases for the day in your room after a cool off in the pool, 20 metres away, then back to restuarant for a fabulous seafood/Thai meal. [Ask for Supit]

Great location in impact zone
Great location for those wanting to be next to beach and Bangla. Nice restaurants. Very pleasant staff.

Choose this hotel for convenience to bars and restaurants, not for the view. For those wishing to stay at a comfortable hotel close to the major bar street in Phuket "Bangla" this is a good choice. If sea view and quiet are your preference do not stay here.
Restaurant Tip:
If you like regular Thai food seasoned to a hot spicey level -- it is difficult to find in the tourist restaurants which prepare food for western tastes. Look for where the taxi drivers eat in the small alleys off Bangla and you can get much cheaper and tastier food.
