Sala Phuket Resort and Spa, Phuket

The Sala Villa is very nice especially if you are unopposed to a very open natural experience. The tub, shower, and toilet are all outside. This is the 2nd time I've stayed in a villa with an outdoor shower and it is exquisite. The only downside of being that open are the bugs. The property has very large beetles and they are fairly tenacious. A couple of times they made it into the tub. The pool was amazing and I loved being able to swim anytime of day. Regarding dining, the food was exceptional. The only downside regarding the food was I thought the breakfast menu could have been a little more expansive. My only major complaint about the service at Sala Phuket Resort was that the staff did a very poor job of cleaning the room my final evening there. The pool was left dirty with leaves in the pool and they did not clean the room very well. Also, because it is the rainy season now the surfaces outside can get very slippery and wet- on the other nights they did a good job of mopping up the water but not on my final night there. I really dislike the shift in service that sometimes occurs when they know you are checking out the next day. One final thing to consider is the distance of the property from most attractions and restaurants. The hotel drivers are pricey so you must account for this in your budget if you want to utilize them as private drivers. One last thing is the airport transfer is ridiculously priced. The airport is only 20 minutes away! Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Sala Phuket Resort and I think it is great place for couple wanting some romantic one-on-one time.

I stayed with my wife at Sala Phuket for 6 days. We had a wonderful time. The Hotel is very quite and peaceful just what we were looking for to escape from our busy life. The hotel staff were very competent and willing to help with any thing. We stayed in a Sala Pool Villa. We will stay again and also try Sala's other property as well.

Before we go, we have heard how romantic the pool villa is, and it was true. It's quiet and romantic, my wife and I spent a wonderful anneversary in the hotel. The service of the staffs were also kind and warm. Some people said the restaurant was expensive but we thought the view and atmosphere is worthy to dine there.We sure will come back one more time because it was so unforgettable.
