Best resort I have ever experienced

we enjoyed our stay in sala phuket resort and spa all the way. the staff very friendly and helpful. location very remote but that is a good selling point. just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful environment. it is very expensive to have food and drinks in the resort. european city prices. you pay 5 euro's for a local beer for example. as they know you can not go anywhere else without being in a taxi for 45 mins....

Service like in a 2-star hotel!

The service is very very laid back in this resort. Prices in the restaurant are far too high for the mediocre cuisine (i.e. 800 baht for four medium size not very fresh prawns. Found after a day a small street kitchen next to the resort, which served better and fresher dishes than the hotel kitchen and for approximately a quarter of the price. The spa is unprofessional and over prized as well. The resort is definitely not a five star hotel - I would say 3 stars would be more realistic.Checked out one day prior to my planned departure even though I couldn't get my money back for the last night.

Luxury and beautiful hotel. Nice decoration both interior and exterior. Good service mind from all staff.
Full of breakfast. Breakfast steak and 100% orange juice are recommend. Sleep at the beachfront under sun light and sea wind is a simple but great.

we arrived the hotel late (0:30am), but hotel staff was very friendly and helpful on our check-in, nice welcome drinks.
breakfast are ordered from set menu with fruit buffet, i would say the order-n-cook breakfast is better than those normal breakfast buffet. (highly recommand!!)
private pool is sooooo wonderful, its not big but enough for me and my boyfriend to do some sunbathing!! it was very relaxing, we spent 3 hours in our villa for some swimming, bunbathing before heading to patong beach and phuket night market.
hotel serves nice dinner and meals in the restaurant, we had a thai cultural dinner on friday night, with some traditional thai dancings. fruitful for both eyes and tummy!!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
At least 60 mins drive from Patong Beach (depends on the traffic condition), cost. It was more expensive compare to Bangkok, so better plan carefully on the sightseeing to avoid extra costs on traffic.

Great Resort for Short Getaway

The resort is located 20 mins away from airport. Very convenient for those seeking a quiet hideaway.
We booked a SALA pool villa. The villa is furnished in modern Thai design. The room is on the small side. The bathtub,toilet and shower are outdoor which is inconvenient for late night toilet breaks and rainy days (outdoor shower). The best feature of the villa would definitely be the pool.

Good Room and Service but unpleasant experience

Have expectation in Sala Room and wanna to stay for relaxation. Sala is near airport just 15 mins arrive hotel. However unpleasant experience due to one day from 9-6pm no electricity for the room as hot weather. Due to no electricty hence you can't prefer swimming in villa. Although this is one day in-advance notify to hotel but helpless to the traveller as they are no way out unless go outside from hotel. But this is not the reason you choose far away location in Sala (45 mins to Phuket/Patong)because you want to stay in your private villa room to take relaxation. No electrcity not the point but the response from staff only said to you that this is no way out even any proactive compensation. At last I prefer go out but they said need to pay for 2 way transport for 350 batts per person. I dont think this is reasonable for the traveller due to no electricity then need to pay for it. Finally they agreed to free for me but this is not my good time to negotiate it. When I leave and check my bill, i find that charged 900 batts for 15 mins airport to hotel charge in my bill and i dont really awared before when i leave my message from Agoda when reserved the room but they said that already sent email to me but cant prove they did it. Honestly if i know need to pay for such fee, I must take taxi instead wait for them to pick me up. At least i pay for it instead negotiation again. In summary, hotel and room environment are good but for such service issue still have room to improve otherwise i dont think they worth to got 5 stars for the hotel with such service.
Restaurant Tip:
In hotel, Thai food quite good but seafood platter not in good quality even the price not expensive. Trutle village has restaurant call "The Coffee Shop" at the village you can eat there with coffee which just 5 mins taxi (100 Batts)from hotel to there and you can find a small supermarket to buy some snacks.

though it close too airport( around 20 min), but it is very difficult to locate it if you are driving on your own. if you take taxi, it owuld be very expencsive and inconvenience. because the taxi would not be charge on meter. and they just set thier own price. the pool of the hotel is fine. and some of the villas have their own pool, but they 're dirty...
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
dun take this hotel if you dun drive drive your own. because it would be very troublsome to get in/out of the hotel.

This is my second visit to Sala. Stayd at Garden Pool Villa instead of Sala Pool Villa. The room is equally beautiful.
They used to serve breakfast outdoor but now being moved to indoor. Outside has a better view but indoor obviously got air-con.
My friend's villa had some ants problem.
Shopping Tip:
The closest place to get drinks & snacks are at the supermarket at Turtle Villege, just at the entrance of the road leading to Sala.

Sala Phuket is arund 15 mins from the airport. The pool villa rooms have a really big pool that is actually good for swimming.
It is also right by the beach. Though waves are high and not suitable for swimming, it's a good place to play beach games.最少50個字
Restaurant Tip:
Food at Sala restaurat is good, but a little pricy. If you want to try their seafood platter, better to order in advance (on the same day ok)
