Solo travelers India, February 12, 2013	Very tidy and simple Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, no frills 8 i was travelling solo and booked a standard room with sandy house. the place is nice and clean, lots of greenery. the staff was very helpful. most of them can speak and understand english so that helped a lot. the hotel is in rawai - the southern part of the island which is less touristy compared to central parts like patong. if you like a laid back vacation then just rent a bike and go around. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: If you are interested in the more touristy things that Phuket has to offer, then get a place closer to Patong. Rawai is a good 22-23 kms away from Patong and you will spend a lot of time driving up and down.

Happy, friendly staff. 7.7 We stayed for a week and enjoyed the quiet location. Staff most helpful and made us both feel welcome. A very relaxing place to stay. We returned after travelling as we feel comfortable and relaxed here. Travel tip: We rated food and dining poor, but only because they do not provide meals. We would always return here!

After I moved on, the next accomodations were disappointing an a big stepp down. The staff was very knowlledgable and went the extra miles to assist you on your dream vacation in beautiful Rawai Restaurant Tip: Saloloy Restaurant and the Sea Gypsy Village are a short walt and were well worth it.

Cleanliness, service, quiet location 9 really nice place to stay either for longer or shorter stays. it has got a good location with good connection to phuket town or to nai harn beach on which we've spent few amazing days. highly recommend. Travel tip: Beautiful Nai Harn Beach next to Rawai.

Couples Australia, January 09, 2013	Great hotel in good location Good value, quiet, complimentary tea & coffee, good location 9 i booked this hotel based on other reviews and was not disappointed. the room was clean, had a mini fridge and good air con. the hotel grounds are spacious and surrounded by lovely tropical plants/gardens. the common area has seating, complimentary tea & coffee, toaster and eating utensils. a good supermarket is 5 mins walk from the hotel so we brought breakfast and ate this at the hotel each morning. the owners and staff are very friendly, though their english is limited. the hotel is off the main drag so very quiet but still close to everything. a couple of good restaurants very close by, recommend wassana bbq. we ate here every night as the food was so good (seafood, meat, veg etc) and eat as much as you like for 160 baht pp. if your looking for a basic clean and quiet budget room i would highly recommend sandy house Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Spend a day at Yunui and naihan beaches. The are the best beaches on the island. Have dinner at Wassana BBQ Restaurant (refer review above). Hire a scooter as the cost of transport - taxi & tuktuk is exhorbadent.
Daniel G. Solo travelers United States of America, January 04, 2013	Quiet and super friendly!! Nice and quiet, great price, and the friendliest staff in all of Thailand 9 This place was great. The receptionist was seriously the friendliest person and spoke the best English of anyone we met in Thailand. Also, the hotel is a quick 5 min walk from the main drag, so it's extremely central, but QUIET! We stayed at a more expensive place for New Years right on the strip and we'd trade it for this place in a second. Although the other hotel was fancier, you couldn't sleep with the booming gringo bars all around. Room was perfectly adequate here and has AC, no need to spend more money for a "fancy" place. Thumbs up! Restaurant Tip: Eat at a small mom and pop place with local Thai people and stay away from Nikita's, unless you enjoy seeing 60 y/o white guys with 20 y/o Thai "dates." The place is busy, so it lures you in, but the food was way better and cheaper elsewhere, and hopefully you can avoid seeing the blatant Thai sex tourism.
