Ambience. Rooms. Staff.

No weakness here.

This exceeded all expections. It is a romantic, special, intricate place. The attention to detail is overwheling. The bedrooms were stunning, the restaurant amazing and the pool beautiful. The staff were hand picked and worth their weight in gold. The spa is sureal. The owner, an architect is a genious. Seeing is believing.

Hotel Feature Tip : Use the spa

The best part about this hotel is the location, its out of earshot from the constant bustle of the tourism in Patong, but close enough to get in on the action The hotel has a beautiful garden and dining area.

The pool and pool bar could be enjoyed to a further extent if the opening ours were extended beyond 7pm Also it would have been nice to be informed before checking in that renovations were underway and that noise would be an issue in the early morning.

This garden villa style hotel is tucked away in a quant party of Phuket. Although it is just a short walk to the beach and some nice local restaurant, it is a slightly inconvenient journey to your next destination. If you are looking for a haven away from the noise, smells and hassles, then this hotel is perfect. Hours can be spent lounging by the pool followed by a meal in the hotel restaurant that is exquisit, but wont great your budget.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you're planning to get from Kata to Patong beach, carefull of the hefty tuk-tuk prices. The local vendors seem to have fixed the prices across the beach for tourists, despite what guidebooks say.

The hotel is almost hidden and somewhat understated on the outside. It is a maze full of intrige. The decor is thai inspired, suttle and relaxing. I assome all staff are given a happy pill daily. They are wonderful. no rif-raf here. we booked in three nights and are staying two weeks

Sawasdee Village was a wonderful place to stay. My wife and I visited on our honeymoon and they made the effort to layout the room and take a picture and put in a frame for us when we arrived very late. The staff are eagerly friendly and dont wait but always try to help or simply make a gesture. The hotel itself was a first to experience and was actually somewhere my wife and I enjoyed returning to everyday. Unique, quiet, fully serviced by the latest mod cons with character in all corners. I would highly recommend Sawasdee Village.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Kata beach nearby with free shuttle bus, virtually on demand from the hotel.

The Swimming Pool!!!

There was a lot of rain whilst we were there & getting from A-B (i.e from your room to the resturant) is quite exposed.

The Sawasdee hotel was a wonderful place to stay. We were at the end of a year of backpacking & decided to enjoy a little luxury, so little things like having your own computer with internet access was a lovely touch. We enjoyed the swimming pool thoroughally, it's a beautiful layout & each of the pool side rooms open up onto a view of the pool, feeling like it's your own priviate pool. There is also a pool side bar which serves delicious cocktails which are very resonably priced at happy hour. The hotel itslef is tucked away from the main street. The street itself has lots of Beauty Salons offering reasonably precied treatments (I had a wonderful pedicure)if you can't afford the hotel's own Spa prices. The beach itself is roughly a 15 minute walk or the hotel provides a shuttle bus throughout the day which is a really useful service. We only stayed 1 night, on route to Phi Phi & it provided the perfect stop-over, we actually wished we had spent the whole week there.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Beach nearby has some waves which are good for surfing. I was unaware that Thailand had anywhere to surf, so it was lovely to stumble upon a beach with waves. There are boards & wetsuits to rent on the beach.

exceptional staff, great restaurant, close to beach, beautiful pool.

none!

The hotel is beautifully presented with large comfortable rooms and a fantastic restaurant (breakfast was brilliant!). It is not on the beach but is only about a five minute walk away. I had a computer in my room with free internet which was a great little perk. But the thing that made this hotel stand out for me was the staff. I was very unwell during my stay and the staff were amazing. The butler went to the pharmacy for me and fetched antibiotics etc while the guest relations manager brought me rehydration drinks and cold towels for my fever. They kept tabs on my condition for 3 days and truly went above and beyond - I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Fantastic staff, beautiful surroundings and good food reasonably priced. Quite and serene. Free internet.

Distance from beach, rooms dark (not villa which was fantastic) and price paid for all the beautiful greenery and water lots of mosquitos.

The overall experience was really good with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The resort is absolutely beautiful, although the room was a bit busy decoration wise for my personal taste. The breakfasts were excellent and the restaurant food very good and sensibly priced. Free internet is always a bonus, especially as I generally have to do a bit of work when I am away. The hotel is located in a quite area with the beach about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel does offer a free beach shuttle service every hour. Overall the hotel offered very good value for money and I would definitely consider staying there again.

The sweeming pool is nice. The car to the beach

Far from the beach and from town. Bad food in the restaurante (special european) Very small rooms No bath

The hotel is bad situated. If you want to take the taxi to the airport you must take in the hotel and twice more expancive that it cost. if you speak with any driver in the town and he agree to try you to the aiport chipper, the hotel stuff will scare the driver and say that he can not drive becouse there are "spacial taxi" who can take the guest from this hotel.

Hotel Feature Tip : Do not take the taxi in the hotel to go to the town. Just go out walk a little and take taxi in other place for better price.

Amazingly landscaped grounds and pool area- very impressive attention to detail. Wonderfully friendly hotel staff (especially the security/bellman/driving staff). Free internet in the room. Short walk to the beach or take their free hourly shuttle. Don't miss the free breakfast- it's large and delicious.

Rooms are beautiful but smallish.

This is a perfect place to stay if you're looking for a good value near Kata Beach. It is not on the beach, but very close. The pool area is amazing with beautiful landscaping, fountains, flowers, and incense burning. One of the top pools I've ever been in- very unique. The rooms each have their own outdoor patio with table and benches- some right up against the pool. Kata Beach in general is a stunning beach- relaxing and not very crazy with a pretty island offshore.

the ressort, the room and especially the spa are wonderful.

The pool area is a bit small.

I came alone for 4 days from Singapore to visit Phuket and choosed to stay at Sawasdee Village in Kata, without special expectations. This was the right choice. I was surprised to find a very nice room and a very nice place: all in authentic thai style, not too big ressort, but lovely. The room is equiped with a computer connected in Internet any time. The service is good, and the spa is one of the best I ever tried. The beach of Kata is 5 minutes walking distance, and I like much more Kata than Patong. Sawasdee: Highly recommended.

Beautiful surroundings with a very spa like feel. The pool is excellent and the swim up bar is an added plus. The restaurant is great. We ate 2 breakfasts, a lunch and a dinner there. The food and ambience are excellent excellent.

Beds were a little hard and there is an odd "shelf" protruding at the bottom. I generally like to stay by the beach however, Kata isn't a swimming beach, so the location was fine if you're looking to relax vs. Patong nightlife.

We really enjoyed Sawasdee Village. The hotel environment is beautiful and spa-like. Great attention has been made to the details and services. The rooms are fantastic and include a flatscreen monitor for tv and internet service. The buffet breakfast, and all the food in the restaurant, were excellent and high-quality.

Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel has spa specials which are a good deal.

Excellent location and tastefully decorated hotel with spacious rooms.

The tours arranged by the hotel are very expensive compared with what is possible to arrange locally yourself.

The staff at this hotel were very helpful and friendly although a little pushy to arrange trips provided by the hotel which were in turn very expensive compared to what is available from outside. However, the overall experience of this hotel and the surrounding area was excellent.

Shopping Tip : The night market is well worth a visit.

Clean, decorative, supportive staff, GREAT spa!!!! Beautiful restaurant and pool, good location. Very very generous hotel!!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Sawasdee Village very much. The room, the swimming pool, the garden, etc. everything is so beautiful. Even the library was very impressive. But, the Barray Spa tops it all. It was one one the best spa treatment I had. High ceiling with a golden dome for the private room. When the lights are deemed, the stars around the dome ceiling lit up. The private room also had its own outdoor cold water pool and shower next to the steam bath. In the middle of the spa treatment, we even get to enjoy an intercession snack, fruit, and tea. The spa staff were very attentive to little details and privacy of the guests. We ended up using 3 sets of clean towels for our session. The free computer with internet connection in the room and 4 bottles of complimentary drinking water everyday.... Love it. BTW, if you get the chance, do ask for a tour of the villa. It is just another surprise you will find.

Beautiful design Intimate feel Good service

Unavoidable mosquitos in compound, wear your repellant and don't leave your room door open for them to fly in.

We had high expectations from reading the other reviews, and those expectations were met and exceeded. It is every bit as beautiful (both the hotel compound and our room) as we had hoped it would be, and its small size makes it feel like a lovely secret oasis known only to a select few. The Internet and computer in the room worked well, and everything else in the room totally served our needs and comfort. Unlike other reviewers, we had no problem with the size of the room either, though this is also because we were just on a short trip from Singapore and were travelling accordingly light. Its service staff are smiling, pleasant and efficient, the breakfast buffet was sufficiently varied for us to eat it happily enough for the duration of our four day stay, and the location (bearing in mind that we are not really beach people and were just using Kata as a base for exploring the rest of Phuket) suited us fine too.
