The art work, and the surrondings are very pretty. The spa gives professional massages and the builing is very beautiful. Good breaksfast, a large selection and attractive setting.
It may be too far for some people to walk to the beach.
The hotel is like sleeping at an art museum. The exteriors are very pretty. There is a spa, and a pretty swimming pool. The beach is only a l0 to 15 minute walk. The hotel does provide a shuttle van, which leaves every hour if one does not want to walk.

Helpful and polite staff, clean, safe, great location, good food, great buffet breakfast, beautiful pool, personal computer in your room with movies - tv - unlimited internet access.
Originally i was only staying at the Sawadee for the first two nights but ended up staying another two making it a total of four. I loved the hotel and i also fell in love with Kata Beach and the locals. The hotel really does all the little things like special flower arrangements in the garden each day, to turning down your room at night for a more comfortable rest. I cannot recommend Sawadee highly enough and actually ended my two week trip to Thailand by returning there for my final night.
Restaurant Tip : Get a Tuk Tuk to take you down Kata Road to a place called Dino Bar. It is setup like a cave and has great food and drink. After you have finished eating you can pop next door to the mini putt putt golf course. Alot of fun and a great experience!

Very nicely organized, staff very friendly and competent in pure Thai tradition.
Room service staff did not speak very well english. When we ordered a Filet Mignon (steak) we receive a Salmon filet with fries. Funny experience after all.
we spent 5 days in the Baray Villa with my girlfriend and we truly had "dream" hollidays. The Villas are very well designed with all the confort from a 5 star boutique resort. The Staff was extremely friendly and dicrete, always available when needed. Some staff did not speak well English at all but this was not really a big problem. We experienced the 4.30 hours of massage including a dinner at the hotel and this too was an unforgettable experience. Great value for money on any aspect. Thanks again.
Hotel Feature Tip : I absolutely loved the swimming pool with private access from the individual villa.

One of the cutest boutiques hotels I've seen
Front office staff are not always up to standard in terms of courtesy and kindness
Beatiful little hotel, rooms are extremely nice, large bed, cool shower, internet and TV free in the room (same machine), very clean, good for families and for solo travellers. Breakfast is very good. It's 10-15 mins far from Patong by motorbike, and for me that is a plus (no disco noise, no bad people around).
Travel tip : Travel agency, 7/11, motorbike rental in front. Kata beach (near the hotel) is much better than Patong beach

Everything: food, rooms, location, cleanliness,...
Sometimes front office staff were not as courteous and pleasent as in other hotels I've been to
Beautiful hotel, a pleasure to walk around this boutique gem. Rooms are very nice, cozy and spacious. The bed is awesome, shower very clean, nice and comfortable. Internet/ TV free in all rooms. The food was also very good (I had breakfast and lunch). The pool could be a bit larger, but that's ok. I first stayed 2 nights and then extended for the whole week. Beautiful
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Kata beach is way better than Patong Beach, and overall it's much nicer to sleep well off the crowded mess of Patong

There really isnt anything that i disliked or needs improving.

Shopping Tip : The massages at the hotel are a little over priced for Thai standards and it is much better to take a 1 minute walk down the street to one of three massage parlours - I prefer the ones in the orange shirts.

Landscaping, peaceful, quite neighborhood, and GREAT SERVICE!
Pricey but great value for money. 10 minute walk to beach. Food is priced a bit high, and spa is 4x the price of something down the road.
Great place to decompress after arriving in Phuket. The place is amazing day/night, with winding pathways, cod ponds, fresh fruit, glowing candles. Very peaceful and relaxing. This is the best value for money in a Boutique hotel on Phuket. Rooms include a computer and TV to keep you in touch. Breakfast is also great.

food, rooms, location, beach,...
staff could be nicer at times
first of all, it's 15 minutes away from Patong, and that was a blessing. Then everythign about this hotel is great: the rooms are amazing, beds are large and very comfortable, TV/ internet free in rooms, shower clean and comfortable. Food was also good. Kata beach was very nice, one of the best ones in Phuket. Try this place and you'll fall in love with it.
Travel tip : Several little restaurants and shops very near. No need to be in Patong for fun, food and great beach

ONe of the best hotels I've found in Phuket
Receptionists not always nice
It was a great pleasure to go to this hotel and I will defintiely return if I pass by Phuket again. Nice, clean, comfortable, cozy rooms and showers. The beach nearby is very nice (nice than Patong). I rented a motorbike in front of the hotel and cruised around the several nice beaches around Kata. Fantastic place overall

The hotel is located close to Kata beach and provides an hourly shuttle bus to the sunbeds reserved by the hotel.
The staff are friendly and helpful. Design of the hotel buildings is traditional Thai and very relaxing.
Sawasdee Village is a beautifully designed boutique hotel situated within walking distance of Kata Beach. Away from the hustle and bustle that Patong Beach offers, Kata beach is a relaxed environment with spectacular views out into the ocean. For those who find the walk a little to far, or may simply want a bus ride back to the hotel after a long day sun-bathing, the hotel offers a very convenient hourly shuttle bus to and from the beach.
The interior of the hotel is beautifully designed in traditional Thai style, with magnificent water features, pool setting and cabins.
Upon arriving at Sawasdee Village, you may be greeted by the most friendly security guard in Thailand. His cheery smile and happy manner will leave you feeling uplifted every-time you depart or arrive back at the hotel. On the whole, the staff are very friendly, willing to help and accomodate all the needs of
their visitors.
The hotel is able to advise you on tourist day trips into the jungle for elephant rides and trips out to some of Phukets smaller islands.
Sawasdee Village is truly a beautiful and relaxing place to stay while in Phuket. For those who want to be in more peaceful and clean environment than that offered by Patong Beach, it is certainly an advisable option.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Restaurant two doors down on the right as you leave the hotel. A quiet restaurant, struggling through lack of tourists in the current economic crisis. The owner served us some amazing meals; highly recommended.

Transport from Hotel to Airport too Expensive
My wife and I had travelled from two weeks in Vietnam at 11PM. When we finally arrived from the airport at Swasadee Village we were greated by friendly staff that took care of all the checking in as quickly as possible which was great after a long time in transit. The hotel itself is a little Oasis from the outside likfe being Phuket. Many patrons chose to stay at the Hotel by the pool all day instead of venturing outside. The Buffet brtreakfasts were satisfying, the staff helpful and the Gardens and amenities mangnificent. We will go back to Swasadee Village for sure and would reccomend to anyone that wants a Boutique style Hotel with the 4 star mod cons.
Travel tip : Hire the Motor Bikes off the Hotel, the little operators will try to scam you some way or another.

tranquil setting, lush foliage and landscaping
bathroom is a bit cramped
My two teenage children and I really enjoyed our stay. It is always a treat to return to our beautiful surrounding and relax after a long day at the beach or shopping. The decor are tastefully done and really enjoyed walking over waterway and the carps on our way to breakfast every morning. The staff cannot be friendlier and their service was excellent. We had a tour of the Villa and its absolutely stunning. Will not hesitate to return in the future
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We are fairly close to Kata beach and was told that we can surf there. So, we tried our hand in Surfing and turned out to be a real pleasant surprise as the waves was quite large and consistent.

The breakfast buffet was really tasty. The staff was always very helpful. You can just walk across the street to book any type of shows or excursions that you want to go to. It's quiet, conveniently located to the beach. The bed is very comfy and most of the rooms looks right out into the pool. Easily access emails, facebook, etc from the computer that is in your room.
wireless internet doesn't work very well
The hotel staff are really friendly and very helpful. Since the rooms open into either the garden or the pool, you feel like you're living in a jungle. There are trees and plants everywhere. Very green.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Right across the street from the front of the hotel is a place to book excursions and shows.

they have beautiful garden and small pool. we stayed pool view room. if we opened the door it's already pool side. it was great. also i love their breakfast.
too many mosquitoes! especially around restaurant. the resort is located just behind ClubMed so need to walk so far along the ClubMed wall to get Kata beach.
they have beautiful garden and small pool. we stayed pool view room. if we opened the door it's already pool side. it was great. also they have nice breakfast menu. the menu was quite simple but everything was nice. all staffs are very kind and helpful even they cannot speak English well. all their interior and exterior is premium but cozy. don't stay apartment style resort in Phuket. i can tell Sawasdee is one of the most beautiful boutique hotels in Phuket.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : just rent a scooter in front of hotel. it's only 200THB for 24hrs. if you want to use a taxi or tuk tuk to Patong beach, you need to spend at least 800THB for return.
