We stayed at the Sawasdee Village for a few nights after traveling around in Thailand for a couple of weeks. It is 10 min from Kata beach, but we ended up spending all of our time at the hotel. The hotel is gorgeous. Lots of little nooks to explore and hide. Very romantic and quiet. We were there with a child (they have a kids pool), but we did not see any other children there during our stay. Our room had a king size bed and was beautifully decorated. We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend it to our friends when they visit Phuket.

Exotic and very nice hotel with friendly staff

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel. This was our first hotel out of 4 for our stay in Phuket. (We wanted to try different beaches). This was the best and yet not the most expensive. Sawasdee have friendly and warm staff, unlike the other bigger chain hotels which have terrible service and staff without smiles. The location is rather good too with a free shuttle service to Kata Beach. It is also within walking distance to the rows of shops. Massage shops are aplenty around the hotel too. I will recommend this hotel to any friends going to Phuket.

We really liked the hotel and if we were to go back to Phuket, we would definitively consider staying here again.
The rooms are small, but the bed is huge, the decoration is pleasant and the furniture is better than expected. Even though the room was small, we did not feel the need of a bigger place. High point is that the room has an outdoor table with sofa, so you can have dinner or just lay down and enjoy the moment.
The hotel food is very tasteful and lot better if one compare with local restaurant nearby. The thai cooking class is also a highlight.
My only disappointment was the spa. The spa conditions are very good and pretty but the masseuse was not better than the ones you find on the street massages and pay 1/4 of the price.

If you like sea food straight from fishers:
- go to Rawaii beach. Buy the fish from fishers and take it to the restaurant in front so they will cook for you
This is as fresh as it gets.
If you like snorkeling:
- go to Pier in Chalong, hire a long tail boat to take you to Coral island (don't stay in the long beach, go instead to banana beach where there are less people, more fish and more corals)
If you like spectacles:
- go to Phantasea
and of course, if you like caos, mess, cheap and fake products, noise and a beach that is not pretty and has no green and transparent water as the other:
- just go to Patong!!

The standard room is nice, very big bed. Can fit in 3 people comfortably. But there're a lot of mosquitos and hot water is not so stable. Swimming pool is nice for kids too. Breakfast line is just sufficient not not much selection.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
close to Dinosaur mini golf, my kids love it. Not so far from Kata beach and there're many local restaurants.

very tropical , thai ambience with lots of trees and streams. comfortable rooms & smart tech tvs even though felt a bit smallish at times, especially the toilets were very compact. mosquitos are a real negative point though hotel takes great care. the mosquito nets over the beds can be a bother. i ended up sitting on the tails of one on the bed and that brought the whole contraption down from the roof ! the staff was understanding though which i took to mean this could be happening regularly here.
spa experience was first rate and very nice and relaxing.
one incident rankles in my mind even though i try to overlook it as an exception - the person at the reception was rather 'brusque' when requested a second time to ask taxi driver to wait for some more time.

Lovely and warm hotel
Too far from the beach and nothing much around.

Its a very lovely hotel. I like the lemongrass smell every where even the room toiltries all smell of lemongrass.The pool is small but has everything and the breakfast though limited but very nice with freshly brewed coffee.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Have to join the tour outside the hotel. nothing much to move around.
