Nice Beautiful Villas

We stayed 3d2n with the resort and surprisingly we have been free upgraded to Deluxe Suite Jacuzzi. Baby cot was placed in the room prior to our arrival. Check in was fast as we arrived early. Complimentary birthday cake for my hubby as requested. Free shuttle to PAtong beach and shopping malls every hour. Will stay again!

Lovely hotel shame about the beach.

It is outside the town, on a hill side. There is a shuttle bus to the town and beach. The town is horrid, full of nasty bars and tattoo parlours. The taxis and Tuk Tuk owners are constantly badgering you to get in their vehicles in order to over charge you. The shops are full of cheap plastic goods, made in China at twice the price you pay in the U.K. for example.
The beach is soiled with massage beds cheap food stalls and touts for sun beds umbrellas and just about anything else they can flog you.
Once the beach was of fine white sand and the sea was so clear and clean fishes would swim around you as you bathed. Now with hotels jamming the beach front and blocks of flats ( called condominiums) springing up like weeds the sea is polluted and the beach forgotten.
Have the Thais not seen what happened in Spain? Or are they just greedy?
Shopping Tip:
The only shopping centre is Jungceylon. There you can get most things you might need, except good food in restaurant!

One bedroom suite was lovely and big. Plenty of room for family of four. Loved the bed. Location was close enough to the main action and the free shuttle bus was great.

Front desk Service was good not great. The guys at the poolside bar were wonderful. Food was ok, reasonable but not cheap. The balcony jacuzi looked over the road and did not offer any privacy and there was a terrible smell coming from the front foyer fish ponds. My daughter loved nanny at the kids club. The pools are beautiful. The free shuttle bus was great. However the rooms while beautiful were very expensive and there was nothing extra to give a feeling of great value for money.

Good location but this hotel has had a hard life

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Sea Pearl Villas - the pools are fantastic, the rooms are huge, the room service food is delicious and the staff are lovely.
However:
- the hotel, while apparently only relatively new, has clearly had a hard life - in our room, the fan, the bath plug and the rain shower were broken. The hot water wasn't working (but they fixed this after a night). There were marks all over the walls, holes in the bed head and the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned. The limited stations available on the tv were terrible. The wifi was slow and cumbersome to use, requiring a complicated username and password system every time you wanted to log on.
- when we ordered room service, the plates remained uncleared outside our room for 2 days - I saw this repeated all over the hotel. Beside our nearest communal pool, half empty cocktail glasses remained uncleared for 4 days, and numerous staff were floating around the area. Seriously.
- aside from the egg station, which does a mean omelette, the buffet breakfast was dreadful. All of the pastries were practically raw and had to be put through the toaster to be made edible. The 'orange juice' was Tang.
I guess our main problem was that this hotel, which we booked at a last-minute, discount rate, cost substantially more per night than the two stunning hotels were stayed in in Bangkok, which were impeccable. It was a real thud back to earth.

The satay sticks and green chicken curry from room service are delicious.

when we arrived there late at night, they did not have our reservation and the type of rooms that we booked was not available!! they refused to refund our payment. and finally after a long argument and waiting, they offered us two one bedroom suites that were located very far from each other. but as a compensation, they let us have a late check-out. wifi connection was slow. room view was terrible

Rude staff and poor value for money

Stay away from the hotel. Many other hotels will have better facilities, value and you won't be insulted by the staff. This hotel has lost the charm of Thailand. I have stayed at many hotels and this is one of the worst in terms of service (for this price). Just a few of the many incidences;
CONCIERGE:
-he arranged us lunch at Thai restaurant at Meredian and upon arrival there was no reservation and in fact restaurant only open for dinner. Also as peak season hotel refused to accept us into their grounds.
- doesn't know names of restaurants or even mall which his own shuttle goes too
CAR SERVICE / FRONT DESK
- they tried to over charged us twice
- they always cars and then there are- the just don't want to make booking
- argument
BELL BOYS
- broke out in a FIGHT w each other in front of many people!!!
ROOM
- okay but not 5 star!
- jacuzzi has no heat! Just a concrete tub
RESTAURANT
- okay but not Thai quality.
- overrun w tourists
This is not a nice place. Recommend you go elsewhere . There are hundreds of hotels in Phuket. Choose another one

This was a nice hotel but far away from beach

The stay was alright. The hotel itself is no where near the beach. They have shuttles that go to beach after each hour but the last shuttle only goes at 8pm to the beach/food place. So you will have to take a taxi everytime you are coming back from dinner (costs on average THB 300 one way). Staff has limited English speaking skills. The hotel rooms has no view of the sea, so even though it sits on a hill, there is hardly any view. Positive was the room and the facilities. Its a large room with seperate living area and bedroom.

Nice Resort, Hillside, very quiet

The Resort is on the hill, has nice view but no beach access. Shuttle bus is provided but last service is to city center is already 19:00. TukTuk driver ask for 300 Thai Baht single trip which is a lot for this short distance (10 min). Resort offer 8 different pools but very quiet. My impression was that there are were only few guests although it was high season. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Staff friendly but not always competent. Room door had a problem and they did not manage to repair it in two days. Quiet place, more for couples - not exactly a family resort.
