Good hotel for the money Guest Rating: 3.7

The period of stay was 8-12 May 2008. The hotel is good, suitable for people that need only to stay at the hotel at night.

• Travel tip : Walking to Kata Beach is about 5-7 minutes. Walking to bus stop (Kata-Patong-Phuket town) is about 5 minutes.

This place is ideal to stay at if you want to sleep well and spend your time on the most beautiful beach of Phuket. Patong is also easily accessible with tuk-tuks or taxis, so it is not an issue to go and have fun in the evenings. Check out the bar and travel agency opposite the hotel. They have good prices and really kind staff.

• Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Do not miss to visit the temple in Chalong. It is small but really attractive and has an unbelievable atmosphere.

Serene Resort is worth the money as it is a clean and comfortable resort with staff who are welcoming and very helpful. For a resort in this location and compared to other resorts in the area, a room in this resort is very cheap and worth every dollar. Everything is within walking distance which is good for those who don't like putting aside large amounts of money just for transport to and from places like shops and restaurants and particulaly the beach. The beach is just 5 minutes away (walking) from the resort.

pool was nice but closed early along with swim up pool bar. 6pm. Really enjoyed my stay here.
