Souther but great
small beach with all services

if you cant stand the busy life at patong beach, come souther to kata. althought serena hotel is not in front of the beach, its about 8 min walking and you pass by one street where you can find all restaurants and massage places. the hotel has an extra guide service where you can book all the day trips you´re interested in. it was really great. hum...the room appears to be a motel room because of the seethrough bathing and some red/purple lights. but it´s clean and nice. made us laugh a lot about those lights. so have fun.

Nice Quiet Area with All you need with mins walk.
Food, massage, some shopping.
Very near to the Kata Beach.
B'fast variety could have more and change daily. Kinda sick eating same food for 3days.

Large resort close to the beach

This is a typical big hotel with all amenities (pool, restaurant, etc). It was pleasant but not exceptional. Breakfast buffet was good and location perfect (about 5 minutes walk to the beach). Even though staff told us wi-fi is only available in the lobby, I was actually able to connect to it from the room as well. This hotel has a lot of stairs and passages, so might not be good for pregnant women or for elderly guests.

we really had a great time during our stay here! im in love with this hotel! staff are very friendly & courteous! the rooms & pool are great! very relaxing!
but there's no internet access in the room, unless your room is very near to the lobby

We booked this hotel after reading reviews on agoda and weren't too sure what to expect. For the price the hole was fine. Nothing spectacular. Just a clean spot to stay. The staff is very friendly but it's a bit of a trek to get to the elevator, there are stairs involved so make sure a staff members gives you a hand. The rooms are big and clean. The hotel is a short walk to kata beach. A word of advice would be to keep walking along where all the shops are because that's where all the action is. We made the mistake of thinking that the he strip ended earlier than it did and only realized that there were a ton of bars and restaurants in the area when we were driving out of Kata.

Serene Resort

Well for serene resort, we like the place very much although it look a bit old but the environment is good and relaxing s there r 2 swimming pool so you can choose which one you want to go for. The room was clean but a bit old and the bath room comes with a window that can open from the bed. So it might be fun for coupe but not for friends. Overall we like the place and we will come back again.
Restaurant Tip:
there is a restaurant call black canyon within walking distance and the thai food there is nice.love it.

Booked 2 Standard rooms which when taken to had no windows and air conditioning wasnt working,your online pictures show windows!Very unfriendly staff made me pay another 5000Bht to upgrade and be comfortable for our stay of 12days. Dirty dishes left in corridor covered in ants for a week!!! Very happy with pools and pool staff.
Hotel Feature Tip:
do not book standard rooms!!!!!

Nicely located in kata beach, walking distance to the beach, the beach is nice and friendly, well protected by the club med, nigth life ins't very active, so one of the quite but not too quite place in Phuket, bus go to other beach, Karon, Patong and to Phuket town as well, very good hotel for familly or quite holiday, renting a motor bike, can be useful, souvenir shop all around but no supermarket, food can be bourght from the market on the man road parallel to the beach... very little local place for food...
Restaurant Tip:
go to the bella vista restaurant just before sunset, you can access it from the beach on the very left the very last stairs after the reggae bar... great evening out, the Thai host is a man young man that has traveled the world he speaks English French, Japanese and more I am sure, he is very good on making sure you'll enjoy your evening.
