If you like being in an exclusive resort hotel and don't plan on going anywhere else in Phuket, then this would be the place since there is a beach right by the hotel and a few local restaurants along the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful though. For Sheraton standards, the hallways need to be renovated and had a smell to it to, even the room when we walked in. You are about 30 minutes away from Patong and even further from Phuket town so if you want to explore Phuket, this wouldn't be the most convenient location. I was definitely expecting a lot more from The Sheraton Grand Hotel considering the price we paid. Although the service was great and the room itself was clean and comfortable, I'd have to say that the exterior part of the rooms (hallways esepcially) isn't very attractive and had a smell to them. The food was ok for the money you pay especially since you can get a much more delicious meal at a local restaurant for half the price. If you are planning on checking it out, make sure you ask for a room in the newly renovated part of the hotel.

grand beach\nnice pool\nsimply the best can't find any problem with this hotel The best hotel in town by far. Nice clean room, grand beach with white sands and blue sea, palm trees everywhere. there are even two elephants, buffet is good, swimming pool great. Must take a free ferry tour to see banyan tree hotel and dining at Lotus is a good option. For money's worth, there is no better in town than Sheraton, another pleasant stay there, thank you Sheraton! I will be back again for sure.

If you are on the ground floor in the Laguna rooms be careful of insects flying into the balcony

If you want a bit more lively night head to patong beach
I would hire a bike at the gym and do a quick tour of the bang tao resorts

This really was the best experience. They even have trained baby elephants to entertain! I only stayed there for 3 days, but could've stayed forever. The Sheraton made all our other hotels look horrible in comparison.

Laguna is a beautiful part of the island and feels like an island on the island. All hotels in Laguna (currently five 5-star hotels) offer shared billing, meaning that you can use the services of any hotel and sign to your room, so you avoid having to walk around with too much cash. That includes the Laguna Golf (you can charge your rounds, food, drinks to hotel bill) and the famous Banyan Tree Spa.
But this also offers additional options.
Example: my girlfriend and I had a sudden desire for a massage, the couple's room at the Sheraton was fully booked for the evening so our spa checked with the other Laguna hotels and promptly arranged for us to shuttle (3 minutes) to the Dusit Laguna Resort for a fantastic massage within the half hour of us walking into the spa without a booking. That's obviously not possible in other hotels on the island.
Restaurant Tip : White Box is a fantastic lounge/restaurant nearby Patong that upon request will send a car to pick you up at the hotel and drive you back after dinner! Just Google White Box Phuket.
