A 5-star eco-friendly property, this Six Senses Resort is on the picturesque island of Koh Yao Noi-between Phuket and Krabi. In addition to the water sports, Six Senses can also organize customized boat and bicycle tours. Guests also have access to an extensive movie and music library and if you so wish, you can partake in a Thai cooking class before you head home. The resort only consists of private pool villas, which have been constructed while keeping the natural vegetation intact. A stay at the resort is not complete without at least one trip to the exclusive Spa, where treatments only include natural products. The Guest Relations managers are on hand at all times to make sure all your requests are met for a perfectly customized vacation at Six Senses Yao Noi.

The best thing about this hotel though are the views of Phang Nga Bay which are so beautiful from the beach and the hilltop reserve. These resorts are expensive but you probably already know that if you are looking at this review. If you really want to splash out go for a villa with an ocean view. We had hideaway which was nice but the views are so amazing that if we go again I would pay the extra money to have an ocean view. Staff are very well trained and service is excellent.

The level of service was outstanding, and the staff couldn't do enough for you. The resort has a secluded feel and have an environmental sensibility and grow their own organic produce.The quality of the food offering was fantastic - particularly breakfast and the free ice cream. The pool/decking area of our villa could use some regular maintenance as the timber was quite dry and brittle. The decking absorbed the heat and was difficult to walk on without foot covering. Restaurant Tip: Je Taime - great restaurant in the centre of town, Good quality food and the owner a wealth of knowledge about the island.

Food, drink and entertainment

The Dining Room
Housed on two levels, the chef's table is on the upper level, with private pavilions on the lower level. Close by is an organic vegetables and herbs gardens, which is the source for the freshest salads.

The Living Room & Terrace
Close to the beach, this all day dining venue offers a choice of al fresco and indoor dining. The Living Room offers world cuisine during the day and specializes in Thai Cuisine for the evenings. Also included is a a deli and patisserie, where guests are invited to wander in and help themselves.

Hilltop Restaurant
Open every day for breakfast, all day drinks and snacks, lunch and dinner. Dinner will be served in several of the villa’s different spaces: private areas, larger terraces, around the huge infinity pool, with the occasional communal table for mingling and mixing with like minded guests.

The Main House
Guests experience a refreshing sense of calm at the Six Senses as they enter over the arrival pool, with two sunken bars and seating areas. From several pathways, one will lead to The Den, with guest relations and a library to the left, and a bar to the right. The library features a glassed-in duplex wine cellar with suspended ladders to access wines on the upper level. The open-plan bar is also on two levels, very open planned with several sub-levels creating a more intimate feeling.

The Living Room & Terrace
all-day dining choice offers alfresco or undercover seating. The Living Room is constructed from traditional material such as timber flooring, coconut palm columns and classic thatching overhead. Offering tempting buffets at breakfast and at special dinner nights

The Dining Room
A central split-level structure features a Chef’s Table on the top level, plus a cooking station wrapped around with one long table. The main dining area is on the lower level, with several private dining pavilions scattered in the wild mangroves and plantation palms. A tranquil water feature meanders through this area – over a glass bottom floor – while organic vegetables and herbs gardens are close at hand for the freshest salads and to complement the exquisite Organic European Cuisine in the Dining Room
