Swim up bar, perfect temperature pool, lots of sunloungers, rooms that opened almost directly onto the pool, friendly staff, day spa, garden on roof, balcony looking out to beach and mountains, cleanliness, comfy beds, bathrobes and sandals, minibar, aircon, restaurant to see the sunset, location, beach...everything!
Can't think of a single con! (except for the poor people who got off the minibus at the dodgy hotels we saw before we got to ours) (oh and the fact that we only had 20 hours there as a stopover - but we're coming back!)
Absolutely loved every minute of it. I didn't think 20 hours in Phuket would be long enough to relax before we headed off for Beijing and then on a trekking holiday, but it was!
From the moment you enter the resort, and receive an ice-cold glass of apple juice and a cool refreshing towel, to getting to your room and discovering that it is clean, cool, spacious, with everything you could think of (as mentioned before, the minibar, robes, sandals, plus toiletries, fluffy towels, a great view, and even frangipani flowers on the bed and in the bathroom). The pool is the perfect temperature, warm enough to enter without doing the whole "do I just jump in and brave it or do I inch in and get used to it" dilemma, but cool enough that you don't feel cold when you get out or sit at the swim up bar. The cocktail menu is long enough to find something you like but not so long that you spend hours deliberating - although the bartender was happy to make up any cocktail we could think of. There's a gym on the rooftop, fairly small but with enough machines to get a workout if you are a gym junkie, although I'd recommend going across to the beach and enjoying the outdoors. Theres also a shop with clothes, and a place to book tours.
The day spa was heaven, and although a bit more expensive than other places in old phuket street, the experience was fantastic, with a lovely setting and calm music and masseuses which you don't get down the street. The sunset view from the rooftop garden is well worth it, and the daybeds up on the roof were a great way to chill out and read a book for a while, as was the courtyard in the centre (with a small foreign book exchange too).
The restaurant had plenty of seats and a happy hour that lasted three hours (don't get that in Australia!) but we didn't eat there - we ended up wandering just down the street to eat at one of the many smaller restaurants down the road - the view of the beach from the hotel restaurant was better.
Hotel Feature Tip : The rooftop garden for a relaxing. tranquil way to spend an afternoon with a good book.

close to the beach, nice pool, great staff.
breakfast restaurant kinda expensive and very "concrete" building.
Not much to complain about and it did correspond to our expectations based on what we had read on several web sites.

Rooms are tired, staff don´t care.
Our roomprice did not include breakfast, separately it would cost 530 bht/person!!!!
We liked the location of the hotel. We had stayed before at Karon Sea Sands Hotel next to this hotel. This hotel was a huge disappointment to us.
We stayed in the older part of the hotel. Room were good size but very tired and old. Can not recommend to anybody.
Hotel Feature Tip : Karo Sea Sands is much better

Good location at karon beach. It's a small average hotel, clean and quiet. Regretfully, booked through agoda without breakfast (could incl breakfast at same/lower rate if through a local agent), reception offered pricey breakfast, so we ate breakfast outside at 1/3 price but same quality. Hotel's phone system is very limited, no room to room call.

Great location, walking distance to the beach and not far from Patong or Kata areas
The swimming pool is rather small and not very kid-friendly
The best value for money was the location, the hotel itself is nothing special. The swimming pool is small, thankfully there were only a few families at the pool during our stay, so it was relatively quiet. The breakfast buffet was on a 2 star level and again thankfully it wasn't included in our package, so we ate elsewhere.
The staff were friendly and the security/parking attendant deserves a raise.
We also enjoyed the Filipino band that plays outside by the restaurant. We never ate at the restaurant so can't comment there, but the crab fried rice and banana colada at the pool were nice!
Would I stay there again? Perhaps not. Will be looking into a few others in the future.
Hotel Feature Tip : Enjoyable Filipino band plays outside at the street-side restaurant/bar

The location is wonderful and the ambience is fine. Ultimately let down by the staff who seemed genuinely disinterested in the welfare of the guests. I will not stay here again.

Nice lobby and convenient for those who want to enjoy the beach right across the road. Breakfast is okay.
