Excellent rooms, nice pool area and close to the beaches and nightlife of Karon.Good breakfast :) Front desk staff not all that freindly, reminded me more of checking into a hospital rather than a hotel, unfriendly and clinical! :( Sugar Palm Karon is a really nice hotel the rooms are very nice and the bathroom is excellent.It is very close to Karon beach and all the shopping, bars and restaurants in the area and if you really want to go crazy it is only 10-15min drive over to Patong beach and its nightlife.My only gripe is the staff on the front desk, found them pretty unfriendly and clinical but i wouldn't let that stop me staying there again.

Very clean,nice pool,great location To many internet geeks makeing the free internet service very hard to use yourself Loved this hotel as it had over booked me for one night so they kindly upgraded me for free to the malisa villa suites which they also own where i had my own swimming pool/jacuzzi/waterfall in my lounge/garden,5star luxury.
Travel tip : 50 yards from the beach and great waves

Nice big pool, 50 yards from karon beach and very clean I had a great stay at this hotel and would recommend this to anyone,its in the heart of karon and 50 yards from karons white sands and great waves,good price for such a nice hotel and the staff are very organised and helpful, i will be back here at the end of august for sure
Travel tip : Motor bike rentals,beach, waves and only 10 mins on a motor bike from the night life in the centre of patong

some of the taxi drivers cant finf the way. the sugar palm remains an excellent place to stay on phuket. its modern,clean and well looked after, the staffare helpfull and a good command of english. the ground floor pool rooms opening out from a small balcony directly onto the pool are to die for, especially handy for pre breakfast swims or if you have kids to entertain?
Travel tip : grab a poolside ground floor room its worth every penny.

Close to beach, modern room, free internet. The staff berely said hello when you came to the hotel after beach, restaurangs etc. They better shape up if they want customer to come back. I had a really pleasant stay at Sugar Palm. Close to the beach. The facilities was very modern and fresh. If you like you can order a pool access room and sit with your feet and relax from your room. Nice pool and a big area for the kids to play football. Massage servive at the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go to Kaia Island, white beautiful beach.

some of the taxi drivers are unfamiliar with the location, confusing with sugar palm in Kata. The sugar palm resort is a modern imaculate property with a stunning swimming pool. The ground floor poolside room opean out beyond a small balcony direcrtly to the pool, a great idea for a morning swim before breakfast.
Hotel Feature Tip : get a ground floor poolside room, worth every penny!

difficult to find in karon the sugar palm karon is a new clean well thought out property. It can be tricky to find tucked down a soi, but otherwise is a great location for the beach and shops,resturants, bars etc.
If possible get a ground floor pool room, the ease of acsess to the wonderfull pool is first class and can make all the diffrence over a week.

Good pool,nice clean rooms good location Very hard to use the free internet service im sure 1 or 2 nobbs took the keyboards back to their room so they could use it when ever they liked I would stay here again and probably will be back befor the surf season ends in september good price for such a clean and well decorated hotel. Plus there is no problems bringing a lady guest back they just have to leave their id with the front desk. Also 5 mins motorbike ride from the great surf in kata

good location, just two minutes from the beach, big clean room, but no balcony where you can access the swimming poll directly, and the swimming pool is nice, people are nice too, not very expensive if you book from agoda, I would recommend to all wanna stay in Karon beach

Nice rooms Staff - not overly helpful or friendly This hotel is good value for money - great location and the rooms are very nice. You are close to restaurants and shops and a 2 minute walk to the beach. The hotel has a nice pool and the deluxe rooms are worth the extra money for the balcony.
The hotel's restaurant, Mali, is a 3-5 minute walk and is a nice setting (just wear your bug spray!).

Nice rooms, close to beach Staff could be more helpful We enjoyed our stay at the Sugar Palm because the rooms are nice and modern - balcony great, DVD player a nice touch, too.
The location is good - just 2-3 minutes walk to the beach. Also plenty of restaurants/shops within a 2-5 minute walk.
We went to most of the restaurants in town (left of the hotel) but also found a gym and more restaurants when we turned right.
Hotel's restaurant is very good - it's a great setting, too (just wear your bug spray)!

Rooms are nice, beds are comfortable, beach is very close Front desk staff not as helpful as they could be We checked in for 2 nights but extended our stay for a week because we liked the hotel so much. The rooms are nice, modern and have the amenities you'd expect from a more expensive hotel (eg bathrobes, minibar, slippers and a safe). The hotel is just off the main street in Karon and is very close to restaurants, shops and a 2 minute walk to the beach.
The hotel has a nice pool - just get out there early to get a chair!
Hotel also offers free internet and has plans to build a fitness center.
Restaurant Tip : The Bamboo House is a great restaurant - just a 5 minute walk from the hotel (turn left on the main street) - it's on the left hand side.

Nice location, modern amenities Staff don't make you feel like you're in the Land of Smiles This hotel was great value for money. We were 3 minutes from the beach and various restaurants, shops, massage, etc.
The rooms are modern and have a cool set-up - recommend getting a deluxe room. It's worth it for the nice balcony overlooking the pool.
Rooms have DVD players and hotel has a good DVD library (it became available the day we checked out, though - bummer!).
I'd recommend this hotel for the location and the value. Nice rooms at a good price. Staff could use some lessons in friendliness though. A smile or 'good morning' would go a long way!

Location, cleanliness, affordability, spacious room superior room facing another hotel's lounge, a little noisy during night time. Mosquitoes can be a nuisance as well. Highly recommend this hotel for value for money seekers. Worth staying for the amount that we paid. However, a little disappointed by the preparation of room although check-in time was 2pm. Room wasn't ready despite reaching at 3.30pm, has to return 1 hour later to check-in.
Hotel Feature Tip : Instruct hotel staff to spray mosquitoes repellent every night before sleeping.
