i liked the service the free wi fi the free computers the dvd selection thanks suger palm resort had a very pleasant stay the rooms are great free wi fi free computers free dvds good staff will happily stay there again plus great value for money i cant wait to use agoda for my next travel experience regards john.
Travel tip : next to the hotel you can hire a scooter at good rates.

Rooms are modern and well appointed. Huge shower heads and baths in some rooms. We had to move twice during our 5 night stay but the final room was huge. Here in June 2009, pretty quiet which was nice. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely pool with spa and a small childrens pool area. Four computers and dvd library available. Breakfast was pretty standard. We had a free upgrade and our room was huge with a very spacious shower. Not on the beach but a very easy, direct walk onto the sand.
Travel tip : Handy to the beach.

Not a very warm atmosphere We only stayed at the Sugar Palm for one night on our way back to Bangkok. We chose it for the price and were not disappointed. It was not the nicest place we stayed in Phuket, but it was very convenient. They had movies to borrow from the front desk and a nice computer lounge for the guests, both free of charge. The breakfast also had a nice setup. The location was within two minutes walk to the beach, very nice.

great location, clean nice pool, free computer with internet access, large room, nice SPA Room seems old. Day bed sheets were with stains. Noisy (coming from shops below). Very accessible!! Two minutes away from Seven-Eleven and convenient shops. You can get tuk-tuk and taxi from the entrance. Less than five minutes walk to the beautiful Kata beach. Restaurants are all within walking distance. SPA was fantastic and good value for money (buy one free one). Sufficient computers with free internet access and DVD movies to rent for free. The swimming pool is very clean but insufficient pool chairs available. Overall, worth every penny!

Nice hotel. Would stay there again. Very clean, nice rooms, great staff. It looks like they tried to upgrade the rooms with paint and new tile, but either left the old purple/pink tile from the 70's or chose really bad colors. The remodel job is poor and makes the hotel less attractive. Great location across from the beach, not as hectic as Patong. It's the second time I've stayed in Kata.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go to kata noi beach.

Location is convenient..
Hotel is clean and new.. good service too..
I would prefer Sugar Palm Hillside. As the rooms face the sea.. and it is not far from Sugar Palm Kata. The location is very good.. as it takes only less than 5 mins to reach the beach for both resorts. i would definitely recommend this resort for people who would like to stay at kata

We enjoyed our stay here because the facilities were modern and well-maintained. The location was very good as well, just a 2 or 3 minute walk to the beach. The breakfast was also very good and had both Western and Asian foods. The staff was very friendly and we felt safe staying here. We found only one drawback: hard beds. But hard beds are usually the norm in many parts of Asia, especially in Thailand. Overall, we found our stay very enjoyable at Sugar Palm Kata Beach. We would definitely stay there again if we can get back to Phuket in the near future. The easy beach access and clean facilities were a big plus. We chose the delux pool view room which had a king bed and both a tub and shower. The decor was very modern and we found our room very clean.
Restaurant Tip : Kata Beach BBQ restaurant was very good and inexpensive. Go to down the beach and turn left, almost all the way to the end (only about 250 meters).

The hotel room is good and clean. There are free DVD for you to borrow. If you have nothing to do, just enjoy watchin movies in your room. From the hotel, you can walk to Kata beach, and you can bring the hotel's towels to the beach with you too. It's good. The food at MALI restuarnat is not bad. But, the parking lots is very small. If you drive, it's not good for you. And, please be careful about your valuables. Don't leave them in the room or you will lose some items.

* slow internet connection overall, i love every thing about this hotel. i love my spacious room, warm ambience, helpfull staff, clean environment, and sometimes you can easily find a local hawker in front of the hotel.
it's the hotel that absolutely a good choice for family and couple.there's also some small shop offering laundry and ironing for 70Bath/kg. you can rent a motorcycle or take tuk-tuk or luxurious taxi in front of the hotel. everything as you like.
Restaurant Tip : just go nearby, there's a lot of caffe and resto around the hotel.

Priceworthy, friendly staff, clean, fresh, super location, great SPA/ pool environment If anything, the breakfast could contain more items This is my all-time favorite in phuket when you add up what you get for your money. Its always competitive in price, often full, even during low season, super staff, great services (free dvd retal, wifi). If you visit them often you can expect a free upgrade if available. Calm environment, closeness to great restaurants and shops.

Best features: the people (staff) and very nice little guestures like, the pink drink, the wet towel, realy showing the room, very good bed, beautiful swimming pool and reception and very homely room. Bathroom: door to the toilet opens towards the toilet, this makes it difficult to enter. The soaps are in the toilet room, the shower door open towards the toilet, this makes it impossible to get the soaps. The towels are in the shower area, when you turn on the shower, the towels are getting wet.
The television has only 2 English speaking channels.
Excellent homely style hotel, with beautiful decorated rooms, beautiful swimming pool, spa, massage, fitness room and very friendly professional staff. If you change my minor remarks about the television and turn the doors around in the shower / toilet area and place the towels elsewhere, it would be perfect ! But those are only small details, I will come back soon and advise my customers to stay with you aswell.
Hotel Feature Tip : It is difficult to find and perhaps you will not see it coming in, but go to the spa, massage and the fitness room

Nice location, swimming pool and jacuzzi are nice. Not enough Space for sun loungers and not many loungers. Liked my stay at sugar palm , nice clean rooms and short walk to the beach. Some very nice places to eat close by. Kata seems quiet and relaxed for nightlife if thats what you want!
I would come back to Kata after driving round Phuket and visiting other Beaches.

noisy, mediocre breakfast, unfriendly staff The hotel is situated good at one minute from the beach. The rooms have a very modern design but ours was a bit smelly we found. We believe this might be because of the couch. The bedlinnen was clean although we are not fans of the sheet/blanket/sheet system they use. Internet acces was ok. true agoda so value for money was excellent.
