Families with young children Austria, May 05, 2013	Resort, swimming pools, activities for young kids Plenty of activities for young children, several swimming pools, restaurants OK. 7 This is a good resort if you want to hang around the swimming pool with young kids. There are plenty of activities for children; although adults need to accompany children in the "kindergarden". There were plenty of swimming pools, but none of them had proper shading (sun protection) thus we could only use them in the late afternoon. If you want internet access in the room, you need to pay a hefty fee. There is free WiFi at the restaurant, but it is saturated and slow. The beach restaurant is affordable for lunch, but expensive for dinner. The overall location at Kamala does not offer much, other than beach + pool. Most of the guests were Russian families. We found the resort nice, but a bit sterile. You don't notice that you're in Thailand - it could be anywhere. The kids were quite happy, though. We flew with Air Asia and had to change planes in Bangkok. The luggage could not get checked through to Pukhet, thus we had a lot of stress checking in again at Bangkok, where there were huge crowds and we almost missed our connection, although we had 1h45min. Next time I would consider flying with a different airline.

Families with older children Hong Kong, February 16, 2013	Great resort for family Excellent service and swimming pools 9.3 We have stayed in Sunwing Resort Kamala Beach for 3 nights in Feb 2013, we had a wonderful vacation there. My 9-year-old daughter loved the water slides very much, she was playing in the pools with slides for 3-4 hours everyday. The food quality in the only restaurant is good if you consider the price is very reasonable and the kid is free of charge. You cannot expect 5-star food quality for a dinner buffet at USD 20 per person. We got an upgrade of our room to those facing the garden and the Kamala Beach. We enjoyed our very quite environment at night. This is a perfect place for family vacation with kids. Restaurant Tip: Go out to the beach and turn left, we had dinners at Mama Mia (Grill) and Pavilion (Thai) respectively, they are both very good.

In good location with direct intern road to the beach. Very calm, no rush, all personnel is very helpful and nice 24/7. If you like to stay all the time in a hotel - this is your choise, if you like to take part in activities - it' s your choise as well, hotel has plenty activities to offer. Outside is very clean and nice, swimming pools are cleaned on daily base. We will return to this hotel for sure! Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Very nice sightseeing from every room

Families with young children Hong Kong, January 19, 2013	Huge room with nice pools Room is big 8.7 my family and i were staying there for 5 nights. had a marvelous time with their large swimming pools. a minute walk to the beach. many selection in breakfast. the highlight of this hotel is the daily activities for children and shows. the performers on the stage as absolutely professional. i love the night that they sang the abba songs. will definitely go back again. thanks sunwing!

The etertainment in the hotel is too noisy an targeted mainly at scandinavian guests. In general noise level is quite high in the hotel and there are lot of mosquitos. The positive points is that the happy baby studios have all you need for young children - pram, baby chair, kot , potty etc. The price for the room is relatively high for the standard unless you stay with two children. The size of the room is good.

Lolo, Bernie and Woody are fun for the kids! 8.7 This is a huge hotel designed for kids. It's got plenty of activities, fitness room, playground, play room, water slides etc. It can, however, be too much after a while, but it is absolutely perfect for a few days. Don't miss the top notch shows in the evening!
