Great family resort
Family friendly, nice swimming pools for children, close proximity to beach

Overall, we had a nice and comfortable stay in Sunwing Resort and Spa. Our ten year old daughter loved playing in the pools and on the beach. Staff were very polite and welcoming. There was a family atmosphere which made our stay even more relaxing due to the fact that we had a young child with us. The only minor inconvenience we encountered was the lack ironing facilities in the room.

Great Place for Children
The hotel has great swimming pools for young children, is located right on the beach and the restaurants are very reasonable

We enjoyed our stay because the hotel is very child-friendly. The rooms are self-contained and are very comfortable. The open-air restaurant adjacent to the beach was very pleasant and service was good. The cleaning of the rooms was a bit disorganised, but in the end it all came together. The beach was very clean and the children enjoyed playing in the surf. A great place for families with children.

over all was good, great location (right on the beach) and resort had 4 different clean & big pools. But our room was very disappointed because the bathroom smells and got lots of mosquitos. The resort did not confirm with our airport pick up that nobody came to pick us up and we have to spend over $35 to get to the resort.

Front desk staff good but rest of resort lacks

I was disappointed with the resort, the front desk staff are good however the staff in the restaraunts and bell boys lack customer service. When checking out I had to eventually bring my own bags to the foyer as the bell boys took soo long. You have to pay for wifi in your room, its free in the foyer, why not free wifi throughout the resort. I felt like I was being pushed through the breakfast buffet, it was so busy you needed to be quick to get anything and it was exactly the same food each day, big on quantity but not quality. The resort is not ideally located for shopping and taxis outside typically charged a premium to take you anywhere. We had a car however could not park it at the resort as resort car park was always full.

Would not consider this a 4 star hotel...

I would not say this was my favorite hotel, and would not consider going back to it. It is a nice hotel, and good for families, but it was not what I would have expected from a 4 star hotel with the amount we paid for it.
We were not greeted when we came in to the hotel, our rooms were not ready until 5pm. I got in a bit early (12pm) in which I was told the room was not ready, which was completely fine. But they told me to come back in an hour, which I did. This happened two more times until at 3pm, when the room was supposed to be ready, was still not. I waited until almost 5pm until I got the room, which wasted a good amount of my day. No one showed us to where are rooms were.
The rooms are nice, spacious. But the showers only had one dispenser for "Soap and Shampoo". The hand soap for the sink was also a "Soap and Shampoo" dispenser. Not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel.
The food was a bit pricey for being just OK. The breakfast was OK.
The beach was really great. It gets away from all the travelers in other parts of the island. Its mostly families which makes it a bit low key. We are not the partying type so this was good for us.
Overall, the hotel is nice for families with kids. But dont go in expecting a 4 star hotel.

It was my first time in Phuket. I am glad that I chose this hotel. It is located right on nice long beach with clear water and no crowds. They have shows for children.

very nice hotel with 4 big swimming pools: 1 for kids, 1 for families, 1 for sport and 1 for relaxation
direct access to the beach. bangtao beach is my favorite in phuket
plenty of activities available for adults and kids
breakfast 100% same every morning
no room service, impossible to get food after 10 pm from the restaurant. at 12 pm the mini market closes down so after midnight it's impossible to get any food from the whole compound
THB 2,100 for 7 days of internet service is quite expensive. in my opinion should be free of charge
