Far from the crowds, a beautiful location

We selected the Supalai because we wanted a quiet holiday in a beautiful location, and we were very happy with our choice. The rooms were very tastefully decorated and offered excellent views of the north-eastern coast of Phuket. Perched on a hillside, we woke up each morning to clear skies and a stunning view of the sea. The 2 pools were very well maintained, and the restaurant at the hotel offered a wide variety of cuisines. Highly recommended.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
It is worthwhile to rent a car from the taxi services offered by the hotel. We paid t for renting a Toyota Vios for the day.

Nice but never again
The resort is really nice. It has everything it needs. It really looks like a 4 stars resort. THe rooms are a mixture between thai and western design. The breakfast is diversified and the food is tasty.

Easy living

This is really a remote and isolated place, so if you like to have a lot of activities, restaurants and night life, this is not a place for you. But if you are like us, who like panoramic views, quietness, fresh air with a whiff of sea and jasmine, and paddling in a nice environment, you will love this place.

Best Western Supalai Phuket

The Best Western Supalai Hotel staff was excellent! The facility was very nice, clean but out of the way from the beaches and any activities. The hotel did offer a free daily shuttle service to NaiYang Beach (about 20 minutes away) and the Central Festival Mall (about 40 minutes away) on a First come basis. Their shuttle van could only take 10 adults so if you were late signing up you were out of luck. Taxi service expensive so rental car is a must if you don't mind driving in the Thai environment among the many scooters and poor driving skills of the locals.
Restaurant Tip:
Nice local restaurant in Ao Po, about 6 kilometers from the hotel. Hotel will take you there for round trip price of 200 baht - about 6 US dollars

Best Western Supalai (Phuket)
The pool and the ocean-view are great, and the staff was super-friendly: two women at the reception desk helped us to arrange taxis, and the restaurant staff made friendly conversation. Our dinner was absolutely delicious, and ordering tropical drinks from the pool-side bar was fun.

Go to this hotel only if you plan to rent a car. Otherwise it's too far away from all the major destinations. The hotel promises shuttle service only to the big mall in Phuket City, which is fine for shopping, movies and western fast food. But if you want to hit the beach, if you want to experience Patong or any of the outdoor adventure sites, you'll be stuck in an expensive taxi for 45-60 minutes each way. The location is extremely isolated and inconvenient, and the hotel itself is only so-so.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you travel during a popular time, it's essential to make reservations for all outdoor activities in advance.

Super Stay in Phuket
The view is fantastic. The staff is superb. The rooms were so nice and clean. The food was great!

Excellent view from the lobby and from our rooms! We took a Christmas holiday to Phuket with the plan of spending most of our time at the beach and the islands snorkling. The kids perferred the hotel pool to the beach and looked forward to returning to swim in the hotel pool each day after snorkling. The food in the restuarant was great! Kudos to the chef for having such a diverse menu and making my nine people happy each and every meal! They also prepared breakfast boxes for those mornings we had to leave before the designated breakfast buffet time. Excellent trip - will stay here again!

Snorkling - day trip to Coral Island was excellent!

Christmas in Phuket
The view will bring me back time and time again!
We loved how the hotel was in a quite part of Phuket - away from the craziness of Patong!

Rooms were very clean and newly renovated. The view from our balcony was fantastic - however we were always out enjoying the islands - so we didn't sit and look at the view all day - but we very well could have! We could have sat there and ordered drinks and room service all day long - either in our great rooms or by the beutiful pool that overlooked the sea. Very calming!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We took the hotel shuttle to the Waterfall nearby - well worth the climb - the photos turned out great! The Gibbon Sanctuary was an added treat to see on our decent. What an amazing place!

Excellent view of the Andaman Sea
The hotel is on a hilltop and has an excellent view of the Andamand Sea. Very quite location.

The hilltop vantage gives the hotel an excellent view of the Andaman Sea and the morning sunrise view is perfect. Not all rooms will have this excellent view and will have to enquire when checking-in. The complimentary boat service to a nearby island is a big dissapointment as the hotel had it cancelled due to "weather" On all 4 days of our stay we did not see any concern at all as we could see boats plying pass the sea. We had to charter a private boat to go to the island on day 3, the weather and sea condition was perfect.
Shopping Tip:
Hire a private car for a day trip as this will the most cost effective way to do your shopping and have an excellect seafood dinner.
