Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Check in ok,room not that big, eventually got a 3rd floor room with ocean view.Hotel is in the middle of nowhere so either rent a car/bike or you will be stuck using the hotel shuttle to downtown.

Awful. we have been treated the worst way possible
3.3
We have been treated like thieves, my best friend and I. They probably thought it will be easy to fool 2 girls. They accused us to have stolen their bathrobes which we never have seen, and then made us unpack in the lobby. I have never been so badly treated, even in lower standard hotels. It was unacceptable. I do not recommend this hotel. Ever.

room with a view but nowhere to walk to
6
perched on a very steep hill, with the nearest entertainment, a 7-11 shop over 2kms away. You are isolated here. Unless you have organised a hire car at the airport, plan on spending most of your time in the room. We arrived to a silent hotel and thought we must be the only guests in the hotel, however at 2am the tour bus or busses arrived and for the next hour or 2 the noise of slamming doors and furniture being moved would've been enough to drive me away…if I had remembered to hire a car. we woke late the next morning and arrived to find the remains of a locust plague in place of breakfast, not much left other than coffee and toast. courtesy bus would deliver us to bas of hill for 100baht!!!??? free wifi was replaced by a
daily charge.
rooms were ok, beds and linen good quality. getting in and out of shower was very difficult to manage and inevitably someone will get hurt in the climb in and out of the shower/bath.

convenient location for ao po grand marina
quiet hotel with a good swimming pool and reasonable rooms
6.7
used this hotel as we were doing day trips on a boat located at ao po marina. location good for this. the rooms were ok but quite basic and not as good as the photographs. the children liked the swimming pool. the views from the reception area and restaurant were nice, particularly as sunset. the major issue was that on mosquitos which were so bad that we could not eat dinner on the terrace. not sure if this is just a seasonal factor or all year around. the mosquito problem seems to be in the whole of the ao po area.
unless you have reason to be in the ao po area this hotel is rather a long way from any activities or restaurants

Lovely hotel with wonderful views and setting.
Staff very friendly and helpful.

We paid extra for grand de-luxe sea view, room no. 325, which did have a fantastic view and was spacious. However, it is on the end of the accommodation block, 15 metres from the noisiest part of the main block which housed ventilation units from the kitchens. Standing on the balcony the noise was deafening, not so bad with balcony doors shut as the room air con blocked it out. The room below (225) would have been worse. Hotel was pretty full with Chinese tour groups and mostly Russian guests.
Noise level as the tour groups arrived or left at all hours did affect our sleep.
Breakfast is aimed at the above groups of guests and we ended up buying our own cereal. Fortunately we had a hire car and could travel when we wanted. It is a lovely part of the island but you need transport as the hotel is away from towns or villages. There are extensive grounds and monkeys from the adjoining forest were on the roof and balconies one morning! The pictures of the beach are misleading, it had not been cleaned when we were there and is a 5 minute walk down and 15 minute walk back. The hotel is up a very steep road, a shuttle service to the beach is provided but we did not see many doing that.
The swimming pools were very good and kept clean. Our room was very nice if a little 'jaded' . Shower head needed de-scaling to increase the flow, bathroom grouting poor etc.
We stayed for nine nights and ate at the hotel restaurant half the time. Food was excellent and very good value. Also will remember the beautiful setting over the pools and looking over Phnang Na Bay as we ate breakfast or had an evening meal.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We had a rental car which made all the difference as we could visit some of the beautiful beaches on the other side of the island within 30 minutes. Our favourite was Nai Yang in a national park near the airport. Do not miss John Gray sea kayaking which sets off from a local pier. More expensive than the rest but worth it.
