Solo travelers Australia, January 03, 2013	quiet but far from beach homely room 4.3 this hotel is more like a serviced apartment. it felt like i was staying at a swedish friends house as the books on the shelf were all in swedish. the kitchen was stocked up on plates and cutlery. the negatives were that the room service was none existant, the poolside bar was never open, and it was far from the beach and 7 eleven.

Solo travelers United Kingdom, December 29, 2012	Big rooms, quiet location Big airy room, quiet location 9.7 The room I had at the hotel was around 50sqm and overlooked the nice, quiet pool area. Even though the hotel seemed to be fully booked, the pool area was never that busy, and certainly was never noisy. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from Surin Beach, which isn't too bad and there are a few little shops within 5 minutes walk I would highly reccomend this hotel for anyone looking for a nice relaxing place to stay

Solo travelers United States of America, December 09, 2012	very comfortable 1 BR flat for good value quiet, comfortable bed, spacious 7.7 I found the 1 BR to be very comfortable; quiet, and good value, even in thailand's 'hi season' Request a unit facing back of hotel, as ones closer to main road might get noisy. However, note the kitchen does not have microwave so there is no way to heat up take aways. Also, when I was there the internet failed most evenings, but staff are working to fix this issue. they offer discounts for stays of a month or more. Its a 15 minuite walk to Surin Beach, and the property lies between Surin and Bang Tao towns, so if you have a motorbike, its super convenient. Room cleaning is optional; you must request for this and pay B450 extra each time. The on site Restaurant is very good; its run by a Swedish couple and serves European dishes; a bit pricey but good. The pool is nothing special and in shade much of the day. All in all a pleasant easy going place to stay but if you seek very stylish glitz and glam in your accomodation, then this place would not be for you. Restaurant Tip: try the Chef's Table dinner at Surin Gate Restaurant - Wed nights ( during high season) - 3 course set menu and price - popular with local expat crowd.
