Quiet relaxed hotel

I'd noticed a couple of less flattering reviews about this hotel so was a bit nervous. However, when i arrived I was proved completely wrong. I had one of the rooms on the top floor, and whilst it meant having to walk up several flights of stairs, once I got to the room it was lovely. Clean and bright and tastefully decorated. For the price I paid,I thought it was great value for money

Horrendeous Service

We had the worst experience just arriving at the hotel. We had booked 3 roooms and had called the hotel 3 days earlier to request for airport transfer. Informed them that there were 6 of us. We were quoted 600 baht for the transfer. Upon arriving, there were no one to pick us up. There was a man standing waiting for 2 people to be ferried to the airport. After about 45 minutes of waiting, neither did the 2 people the man was waiting turned up nor did our transfer. When we called them up, the guy couldnt even understand what we were trying to tell him. Anyhows, we sorted our pick up. Upon our arrival, we expressed our unhappiness on why our transfer did not arrive. The staffs at the reception were extremely rude and started to raise their voice. They accused us of not informing the no of pax arriving.The man seated at the reception even banged his fist on the table when we highlighted that someone who was not equipped with understanding english shouldnt be attending to calls. They then told us that they will refund us our payment and we should looked for alternative accomodation. Such service is simple not acceptable and shouldnt be tolerated.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a very nice room for the price, and it was pleasant because we were within a 3 minute walk to the beach. Even as close as we were to the action, the secluded site kept us from hearing loud music that could otherwise keep us awake.
Nightlife Tip:
Enjoy the beach area with all the fine dining and great swimming.

i really liked it. great value, setting and design beautiful.
the floors being painted felt dusty, the room smelt musty as the shower was wood panelling it smelt mouldy.
but the rooms were beautifully decorated the surrounds were stunning too.
nice bust basci breakfast area, short walkt to beach but not as close as id expected. i thought it was closer. all in all id stay again.

i stayed at surintra with my cousin for 3 nights. we were both a bit wary of it at first because the we had a bad impression upon arrival. the driveway to the hotel is not very nice. we arrived early in the morning and checked in. the receptionist was not particularly friendly, but it was okay. he told us we'd have to wait until 1:00 for our room to be ready. we stayed in the lobby to try to plan our day, and after 15 minutes, he told us they did have a room ready for us. it was a hike up 4 stories, but we are young and able so we managed it fine. the room was a pleasant surprise. it was very large and clean. it was a bit empty, but we weren't expecting much for the price we paid. it had a terrace, but the view was not very nice. we used the pool, where i could swim laps and relax to plan our days. there is not really a restaurant. breakfast was on a deck and they served minimal food. you could order eggs anyway you like and bacon. wifi was free. we decided to stay at this hotel because the price was right and we wanted to save out money to spend on sightseeing. the location was close enough to the beach. we were pleasantly surprised.

the hotel was fantastic. the service was amazing. the breakfast was just ok but i find hotel breakfasts in thailand are usually just, meh.... the location was perfect and the resort was surrounded by trees so the air smelled really fresh. the 2 pools were really nice as well. i would definitely come back. i wish i stayed here my whole trip instead of splitting it with 2 nights in patong.
Nightlife Tip:
A definitely Must See at night is Catch beach club. They play some amazing music and the atmosphere is top-notch!

First of all this is not a resort! It's a standard hotel with nothing out of the ordinary . The rooms were ok but the most important thing to a room was the worst thing in the room being the Bed! We asked the from desk to switch out the bed but the guy working there said they were brand new beds and there was nothing he can do. Unfortunately booking with Agoda means your stuck with the room as you have already paid for your stay. Another thing that did not work in the room was the wifi and again the staff was no help. The two guys working the front dest did not speak or understand much English so it was frustrating trying to communicate with them. The only good thing is that the beach is pretty close, but again sleeping in that bed was a pain in the back! The breakfast included is nothing brag home about. Not worth the money.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Look for other hotel in the area. Everyday we passed a couple of very nice hotels that we wished we were staying at for the money we paid.
