Quiet Oasis away from the chaos

My stay was quite amazing and I was really excited when I first got there, because it's beautiful, the pictures really don't do it justice. I wouldn't say my bed was the most comfortable because it wasn't. I would also recommend to not be on the bottom floor just because there is a swing, which is lovely, that makes it sound as though a bullfrog is croaking in your room. My stay was overall quite relaxing and enjoyable, it was easily the highlight of being phuket.

Nice boutique resort with relaxing environment

I had such a great stay at this place. Its about 10min walk to the beach with many great places to eat. The hotel rooms were clean and the pool was very nice.
Nightlife Tip:
Catch Beach club at Surin Beach is a great place to unwind with a nice drink and awesome atmosphere.

Quiet relaxed hotel
Good sized rooms, down a quiet road

I'd noticed a couple of less flattering reviews about this hotel so was a bit nervous. However, when i arrived I was proved completely wrong. I had one of the rooms on the top floor, and whilst it meant having to walk up several flights of stairs, once I got to the room it was lovely. Clean and bright and tastefully decorated. For the price I paid,I thought it was great value for money

The worst hotel I have stayed at in 10 years

This hotel is NOT a "boutique" hotel, small yes, down a sloping driveway behind some shopsThis is an hotel run on a minimal budget, by an absentee owner (lives in Bangkok) where many things appear to be in poor repair or broken (other guests also complained). The new building at the rear is still under construction with workers living on site. The original building is poorly maintained with discarded building materials lying in the areas outside the pool bathrooms. There are no tropical plants as such, but just normal shrubs and small trees found in the region, again these are nothing special and not well maintained. The breakfast (with powered orange juice) Thailand has delicious fresh fruit - no excuses, is served in what is a shed on the side of the sloping entrance driveway. The place is full of flies. The quality of the food is very simple and not what one expects for the price. Next to the hotel on adjacent land is a drain/stream which is the source of putrid smells and flies.
The manager was constantly responding to guest complaints - sorry we no have! The staff tried to please but the facilities and the whole hotel just comes up very short. My waste bin in the bathroom had previous guests' rubbish in it when I checked in - not a good start.
Hotel Feature Tip:
There is plenty of other good accommodation and facilities for less than one pays here. This hotel Deluxe Pool View with Breakfast means a small window overlooking the pool (a large bath tub). Outside the window is the main walkway to the rooms, blind open - no privacy, blind closed - no pool view. No place to store clothes, no hot water tap in the handbasin, Free WIFI goes off every few minutes and requires re-logging in constantly. Room safe removed from wall no replacement. Broken soap dispenser (not replaced during stay), phone not working. No Laundry bag or list. Pool umbrellas and several lounges broken and not removed.

Surintra is tucked away down a little lane, a nice quiet location only a 2 minute walk to the beach and Catch Beach Club, which is one of Phukets chicest beach clubs. an extension to the hotel was recently built and here the rooms are large, natural light, and lovely super comfortable wrought iron beds and rain head showers. There are 2 nicely designed pools, and the hotel is quiet and peaceful. the cable tv didnt have english cnannels, and internet connectivity was ok.The rooms in the new part feature creative, desinger stone and slate work flooring, and creative lighting, high thread count bed linen, and goo d use of space. breakfast is served next door. I didnt bother with it, as there are so many better cafes just nearby. It was a delightful stay

Great location for this newly expanded complex.
Massive new rooms in a great location

Surin beach is usually a place to come if you are a 5 star traveller but amongst all the high end resorts is this newly expanded boutique resort. It has just been expanded from 10 rooms to 40 rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful and although there are a couple of teething problems with the new rooms I am confident these will be ironed out quickly.
I would most definately stay here again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Hire yourself a scooter and ride into patong beach for your entertainment as this is the cheaper option. Taxis are about 500 baht each way to patong and tuk tuks are about 400 baht each way so scooters for around 300 baht a day are the best option.

Perfect for a peaceful holidays; I really enjoyed the pool and the useful help from the staff. The hotel is really close to the Surin beach, a paradise ! I would advise anyone to go there for a restful holidays or just a week end
