Nice hotel and friendly staff, bit out of town.
Not too far from the beach and taxis readily available.

Would recommend this hotel. Nice room overlooking the pool which was great. The kids loved the slide. Food in the hotel was of a good standard and not too expensive. Although spa treatments were on the pricey side and cheaper deals were available outside. Short taxi ride into the main town although you can walk if you are feeling fit.Only downside is we could have done with another bathroom or at least another toilet and the kitchen facilities need improvement - no cooking facilities other than a microwave, no toaster or even an ice cube tray would have been nice. However all in all I would probably go back.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Enjoyed the James Bond Island Trip with Panwa Beach tours thoroughly the host Tony was fantastic and made the trip most enjoyable. The James Bond island wasn't the highlight the other islands were much better and not full of people trying to sell!!

Good hotel in excellent location

Older hotel with basic room (big) could do with a bit of a spruce up but clean, great service and located 5 mins wlak from best part of beach.
Beach bars and restaus available and good but Kamala town is 10-15 mins walk or 200 baht in tuktuk.
Lots of families at hotel
Travel tip:
Everywhere is Kamala (except hotel) is cash only.

Travelled with our 3 kids and one set of grandparents. 3 bedroom suite worked well for us. Hotel not on beach but 5-10 min walk. We were on ground floor so room dark and no view - better to try and get one higher up. Pool area nice - kids loved the slides. Our 7 year old enjoyed the kids club too. Couple of restaurants near by to walk too but not a lot of choice as some way from the main Kamala beach area.

Great hotel with friendly service
We have stayed at Kamala Beach in the past and this hotel is tucked away from the "busy" main street. Everything is still easily walkable and there is a short stroll to the quiet end of the beach. Breakfasts are fabulous and I recommend the "happy hour" cocktails at the pool side bar each afternoon. Our suite was massive - with a full kitchen and lounge. Great experience.

We arrived very early for check-in and were looked after very well. The staff were delightful and attentive despite the hotel being fully booked. Take note that the pool closes at 7pm, which is great for a calm evening on the balcony. We got a metered taxi from the airport, costing 350 Bahts but were forced to return through the local service (run by the taxi "mafia") at an exhorbitant 800Bahts. It is just 700bahts if you go around the corner, but you must carry your bags, they dare not come to the hotel. Apart from that, a great experience all round.
Restaurant Tip:
Cheap and cheerful dining at "Smile" on the beach - fantastic as the sun goes down.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Swissotel. Stayed for 7 days, very relaxing atmosphere, staff were always friendly and helpful, hotel was within walking distance of Kamala beach a very nice way to spend the day. Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable and enjoyed using hotel pool and gym.

It's a steal ..... my family of 4 enjoy the stay,,, nice big hall and the 2 bed room. i think it can nicely accommodate 6 pax. With bar counter and micro wave. The Kid world is great.... can let you kid to play there while to have private couple time.
The pool at hotel is great.... great slide for kids.... the hotel is located on the quiet area... kamala... near the kamala beach- walking distance of 200meters/..... peaceful beach.
the breakfast is flat at hotel.... not worth it.

I enjoyed the swiss hotel. This is a very inviting hotel and resort upon arrival. It is definitely a family orientated hotel. This resort has a lot of positive features and only a few bad in my opinion. First off, the staff is very warm and accommodating. They really try to go the extra mile to make sure your stay is pleasant. The restaurant is excellent. We never had a bad meal. The rooms are large and spacious. Only negative is that the 2 bedrooms only have one bathroom to share. The 3 bedrooms have 2 bathrooms which is much better when traveling with 4 adults or more. The pool is very nice but often times overcrowded with kids. The walk to the beach is about 10 minutes and very peaceful with some excellent restaurants and bars. The massage center next to the hotel was excellent and affordable and proper. We rented motorbikes down from the resort which is more cost efficient than taking tuk tuks everywhere. Patong beach is about a 15-20 minute tuk tuk ride.
Overall our stay was nice.

Serene and quiet hotel with excellent service
Rooms are big and spacious. I have two teenaged sons and a seven year old son, the hotel,was able to cater to their needs. The kids club has activities for the younger ones while tHe gym satisfy my teenaged sons

We like this hotel as it is away from the hustle and bustle of patong beach. You can take a taxi to patong if you like to go shopping for 400 baht for one way. The service is excellent and the hotel is well maintained. My children loved the swimming pool and the gym. There is also a massage spa at the hotel if you wish to pamper yourself. The ones in patong, even tough cheaper, may not have the same ambience as the ones in the hotel. We would definitely come back.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Our children went to the ATV and elephant trekking tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. You can book at any of the agencies at patong beach as it is cheaper but ensure that they are reliable. We paid abt 800 baht per person for the tour.
