Room was ok pool nice dinner was nice 4.3 Ok but not really honeymoon suite view not great concrete pier in front on noisy lane to pier where all the locals gather and have there baths also no tea coffee supplied had to ask. Staff do a lot of nothing except talk watch tv and sit around

The rooms are very nice, but that is it. The "beach" is full of garbage, and the view is a long concrete pier. The breakfast is poor and the foodservice is very slow. In the "restaurent/lobby" I took out a broshure, and there fell out LOTS of small dead bugs and it was easy to see that it has been VERY long time since cleaning. We where suppose to stay for 4 nights, but left after 1.

Couples Hungary, February 13, 2013	Great place if you want to get away from it all Beautiful surrounding 7 the staff in the resort was friendly, however they had very poor english, so communication was very difficult. the island was very difficult to approach, and unless you rent a motorbike, you cannot travel around. although the resort by the sea you cannot swim there, but have to walk app 10-15 min to get to a beach. wifi is only at reception, and does not always work. food was really good and tasty. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: You can make wonderful trips to surrounding islands, and those are not as crowded with tourists as others closer to Phuket.

Solo travelers China, January 19, 2013	beautiful seaview room on the Original island original,quiet,less people,nice inhabitants,great restaurant with special flavor 9.3 this resort is on the other side of koh yao yai. its not very big,you can see the sea beach from your room. the beach is not developped , so you can enjoy the sunshine alone. the room is very clean. the only thing not perfect but very exiting made for us is the tuk-tuk that picks us everytime from the klong hia pier to the resort.the handsome manager and the nice guy who are responsible for this service always try their best to make it faster and faster,you can see all the original life of the inhabitants along the way.thats amazing experience! public wifi is better rather than in our room. gecko lizard can been seen around the ceiling outside the room at time of sunset till the night. other guests in the resort they also enjoy the swimming pool, the beach, the banana boat and the food of the resort. if you wanna be far away from those over-developped areas and have a vacation on this original island, doing readings, swimming, eating ,boating,sunshining ,bicycling,and you will be smiling all the time！^^ Nightlife Tip: since the hotel is on the koh yao yai which is quite far away from the phuket island,the last speed boat to this original island is 5:40pm., so if you wanna have a happy night hour on phuket that is mission impossible.while koh yao yai is very original with everything. you have no modern nightlife no girls no karaok ,but its a good chance for you to see undevelopped beach, exquisite villiages and architectures there. lemonade is the thing you dont want to miss!

Couples South Africa, January 16, 2013	Nice rooms & lovely pool but service lacking Nice small resort on a quiet island 5.3 Loved the fact that the island was free from the trappings of mass tourism. The resort itself was pleasant but unfortunately it was evident that the staff had been given absolutely no training in customer service on any level. Added to this was the fact that the resort is situated along a public access road to a pier which was being refurbished so there was the construction noise most of the day every day. Food wasn't bad but there are some lovely places on the roadside around the island with some real characters that run them. Staff & tours at the neighbouring resort KohYai Yoa Village were superb . Scooter hire from the locals is far more affordable

Couples Thailand, December 04, 2012	Wonderful view View 9 there is a pier in front of the resort so if you plan to have an island trip you can take a boat from there. staff is ok. some are nice but some are kinda grumpy. the room is nice. the view from the deck is so wonderful. there is a small swimming pool which is very pretty and clean. a lot of lizards and geckos, but i think thats normal for the island area. if you book the trip from the resort directly, it is kinda pricy. you can get a better deal if you book the trip from local people which you can do when you arrive at the island at the pier. you can rent a motorcycle to go around the island from the resort. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: This island is very quiet. The beaches are not outstanding, but you can find the one day boat trip to visit the nearby islands. Those island are incredibly beautiful. Make sure you get a good deal for a boat trip from local guys at the pier on the first day that you arrive . you can ask a taxi driver who wait for a customer at the pier. He is nice and can tell you where to get a good deal.

Couples Netherlands, December 04, 2012	Perfect location & room, unprofessional service Superb location on non-touristic Koh Yao Yai, impeccable rooms, clean lodging, clean swimming pool 7.7 We stayed for 4 nights in Taranya Resort and overall had a superb time. This was primarily due to the location on Koh Yao Yai - still untouched by mass tourism which we hope stays the same - and the impeccable clean and beautiful rooms. The common room/restaurant, garden and swimming pool were kept really clean, which is also an absolute pro. Sea kayaks, bicycles and motorcycles were available for rent. The huts are really nice with a great sized double bed (especially for us tall Dutchies) with a large and quality mosquito net, as well as fan, AC, TV, and so forth. But then again: who wants to watch TV when you have a superb view over the bay from the veranda where they made a nice sitting area with cushions. So, until here it was all more than good (of course, taking into account the price of the room, this is also what you would expect: this was the most expensive room we rented during our 3 month holiday, so perhaps we don't have the best objective opinion) which brings is to the not-so-good. This has to do with the service and the restaurant. Although no one was UNfriendly - when asked - the staff was keen to help, but there was little interaction nor interest in us two guests. Although it sounds rather silly, we enjoy our hosts to just ask us some questions or have a little chat, such as "Did you enjoy your dinner", "Good morning, did you sleep well?", or a "Is the room to your liking, anything missing?". Again, it sounds rather silly, but we are positive that if the staff are a little more forthcoming and interested, it will improve the stay for anyone tenfold, i.e. 'the personal touch'. The food at the restaurant was fine, though a bit plain and rather expensive. Some items on the menu were priced completely unacceptable, for example, we were charged 170 bath for one platter of fresh fruit which we could buy on the street just 300 meters away for 30 bath... Our suggestion: don't be difficult about water & fruit, provide for free, and include in price. Restaurant Tip: Just a short walk along the beach (take notice of the tide, bring a torch light!) or the road (look for the sign, and also: bring a torch! there is a beautifully located restaurant (forgot the name, sorry!) with a nice and shy staff, serving quality food. The restaurant is located high on a hill, giving a splendid vista over the sea and its islands. When we were there, the place caught a nice evening breeze which helps you cool down on a particular hot and humid day...
