Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Charming secluded little paradise!
Gorgeous bungalows with balcony and hammock
9
we choose to stay here after reading lots of the reviews and were not disappointed. unfortunately we only stayed one night before heading off to koh tao, but wish it had been for longer, a very romantic place. it is very easy to get to from the phuket airport. probably not very child friendly with the open balconies.
Travel tip:
Bring bug repellent and make sure you keep the tent windows zipped up.

Secluded resort on beautiful tiny island
Solitude, calm, friendly staff, exotic location
9
My gf booked this hotel by chance, and I was surprised to discover that it resides on a tiny island not far from Phuket. I spent three calm days filled with reading in hammock, eating, drinking watermelon shake and even working a bit (resort has rather good Wi-Fi).
Take insect repellent with you, as there are dozens of annoying species in the evening. No electricity in houses — only in central building. Small private beach. Food is okay, albeit too spicy. Friendliest staff.

beautiful views, clean sea, natural hospitality, nice staff, lovely dog

i enjoys the stay in Tenta Nakara although it is only two days and one night. i loves everything here, from the air to sea water, from the dogs to soldier crab, from the room to trestle,…… probably because my most loved girl is on beside.

Its different
private beaches, fishing, reading

Its cool to go there for a couple of days the most!
Im not sure about people that stay there longer. No food after 10:30, no lights, the bungalos are actually zip up tents, which you dont see from the pictures on their website, so its not a bungalow its a tent installed within the bungalow! Not cool! but safe! Go fishing, lie down relex. Go across to the village to score something to keep you calm and high all day. Im not sure why the staff doesent offer it to you as soon as you step off the boat.

Peaceful getaway
Exceptionally friendly service
9.3
This is a quiet, peaceful resort with a wonderful swimming beach and good food and drinks. However, the food and drinks are pretty expansive for Thailand and there is nowhere else on the island to eat, making it your only option. The staff were amazing - exceptionally friendly and helpful. They really made us feel welcome.

Heaven on Earth. So relaxing. Endless Days
Isolation, Friendly staff, beaches.

Tenta Nakara was the highlight of my trip to Thailand. We had high expectations from the website and reviews and were still pleasantly surprised. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, they make you feel like part of the island family. The dogs are friendly and clean, there is only electricity at dinner time which is fine. All you need. Sleep amongst nature, spend the entire day swimming around, skinny dip. If you want there is a tourist beach 20 minutes walk away where you can hire jetskis or sit at their bar and there is also a small fishing village on the other side of the island which you can walk to as well.

Best place I've stayed at in Phuket
10
I've been to Thailand 4 times and Tenta Nakara was one of the best places I've stayed at. Quiet and lovely settings with abundant and gorgeous butterflies and birds flitting about everywhere. The arrangement of each tent was excellent and afforded sufficient privacy. At high tide, the beach is great for swimming and at low tide, good for wading and looking for crabs and fish in the shallows. The staff were amazing and friendly and wonderfully helpful. When we wanted to get to Phuket from the island, they arranged the longtail boat and pickup. If you want to rent a motorbike, they set that up for you too. You don't have to worry about price gouging or being scammed. Good was excellent as well. Wish we had spent more time relaxing there so we could have gone canoeing or seen Phi Phi.
Please note that this is not your usual stay. Limited electricity only at the restaurant and for a few hours. Not the kind of amenities you would expect from typical hotels. This is a place to unplug and simplify your life.

Stunning location, relaxing get away
Private, quiet island, beautiful beach, friendly and helpful staff
9.3
We stayed three nights and wished it could have been longer. The resort takes a while to get to, but well worth the journey.
Great food, beautiful location and very comfortable. Staying in a tent was a fantastic change from the usual hotel accommodation.
Travel tip:
Highly recommend the snorkelling day trip, but suggest skipping the first island stop - the second stop is MUCH better.

Island Magic
Chilled, relaxed and amazing food

We booked Tenta Nakarta for two nights, we actually stayed in the sea view room at the top of the hill. The view is amazing and the vibe of the resort is perfect if you want to get away from it all. The staff and the owner Paul are awesome, so friendly and always helpful and happy to give advice on what to do. I would recomend the resort to people that are slightly adventerous and like nature. Its is great fun and we will be back.

Lovely place to chill out, professional staff
The design of the bungalows and the location
8
i really enjoyed tenta, in terms of its ecological approach it's way ahead of anything in thailand that i have experienced. it's close to phuket airport yet far enough away to be away from the maddening crowds. if you want to just chill out you will struggle to find a better place
