Hotel was clean, well appointed and had good location to shopping. We satyed on top floor had a good view of the rear pool area. Restaurants and breakfast were also good.

We were upgraded and the rooms were nice with a good size shower and view of the swimming pool. Service was good at reception/restaurant and spa. Very nice breakfast buffet with freshly made waffles and nice variety. Hotel is within walking distance of everything - beach, Bangla rd, shopping etc. Will return if price is good!

i have stayed at a number of hotels near the new airport over the past 4 years and found this one a little nicer, more services and superior rooms. like other hotels, it is off the main street and a little difficult for taxi driver to find. i would stay here again.

i booked this hotel on a whim from los angeles. i had never been to phuket before, so i went based on reviews and pictures. the thara patong resort and spa, lived up to all of its good reviews. i did not have a bad experience there. the staff was very friendly, all request were made in a timely manner, it was centrally located, and right across the street from the beach. it is a family environment. it is very quiet at night.

if you're on a medium sized budget, this hotel is perfect. the deluxe room decor meets my style of modern/contemporary. though i had a great time there, everyone's experience is different. good traveling.
Travel tip:
If you are looking for Waikiki style nightlife, and debauchery, then pa tong is the place. Though the hotel is great, pa tong beach is a little too much for me. Tons of partying Russians, smell, and guys tryin to sell you suits. If you want something a little quieter, look at a different beach area. Know some basic Thai phrases. Very few people speak English.

From our first arrival at the hotel and throughout our stay, the staff were efficient, friendly and helpfull. The room was spotlessly clean and the airconditioning handled the Thailand heat well. A water overflow from the airconditioner was fixed promptly and without fuss.
The range of food provided at the breakfast buffet was extensive and would cater to any taste.
Well kept gardens and pools to relax by. The spa and massage services were enjoyed.
The beds were somewhat hard ( as were beds in 2 other resorts we stayed at in Phukey)

Weve stayed in thara for 4 years, but always had asked deluxe. This time we have asked superior because of the prise(double for the last 2 years, also never have promotions). So, i think it was our last stay in thara. Superior looked like standart room in some cheap hotel, we also was in the first floor with direct acsess to swim.pool, so the door to go through to acsess the swimming pool it was half broked, difficult to open and close, the first night we couldnt sleep because of moscitos, one of them kissed me to my eye....just what i needed in vacations and pictures, the room it was dark, some of lights didnt work, TVs bottom didnt work always We have fix it after but the feeling already was not the same). When i have asked to speak with manager he was in the meeting....and never came after (maybe still in the meeting), the gym it was poor, breakfast so so, worse then it was a year ago, the best in the hotel is swimming pools as always

Across the hotel(3 min)is Patong beach, small stores, starbucks, Mcd.

this was my second stay at thara patong and would definately stay again. i always seem to get upgraded when i arrive and the rooms and facilities are fantastic. the service is not amazing but above average and the breakfast that is included with your stay is great.
Nightlife Tip:
Near enough but also far enough away from the amazing Banglore Rd (Party capital of Phuket!!)
